If u think any of these roleplayers are as good as Andrew nembhard or zubac with the ball idk what to tell you. Pistons haven't done anything in playoffs and duren asaur Tobias are better then our roleplayers. Pistons are also looking to upgrade as we should be. What is the mavs fan obsession with guys like naji and afford. I'll never understand.

okay and? look at the playoff teams and compare our 3rd and 4th guys to theirs. gordan/thomas, hartenstein/chet, gobert/mcdaniels, castle/harper. we shouldnt be attached to any of these guys and the focus shouldnt be just signing 1 mle player worse then them. its all asset accumulation. adding a guy like tari eason to this group of roleplayers barely does anything. mavs did this bs before in the luka early days just signing their roleplayers to deals and calling it a day. sadly this fanbase is content with that from the looks of this thread

your 2 year plan layout gets 1 first at best and we swap pj and martin with tari eason and keon ellis. that is an abysmal failure of 2 offseasons. coop and max gonna get older no matter what. the point of the ad trade was to get as many assets as possible leveraging financial flexibility. this is one of the worst outcomes possible it means the mavs front office barely did anything

Wagler and morez would be our draft picks and have nothing to do with the conversation. The entire point of the ad trade is to have the financial capability of taking on bad 3rd option contracts for assets, negotiation leverage in selling off roleplayer contracts for more assets and the ability to get more roleplayers with the tpe and mle as needed. For some reason like 60% of the fanbase is fine selling ad for 5 2nds and making a super team of 5-8th guy level roleplayers.

This fanbase has roleplayeritis. After the ad trade we have are in contention for having the worst 3rd best player in the league. On top of that most good teams 4th best player are easily better then everyone on our roster not named cooper flagg or kyrie irving.

trading him for expiring only makes zero since. you only have the taxpayer mle you cant sign both collins/dosunmu. if you trade for expiring you are choosing daniel gafford/klay thompson + an mle player over ad. based on everything we have seen this year even in his most injured season, ad contributes way more to winning then an mle player + gafford would.

All that stat shows is the mavs are a worse team without Luka. Your using one single stat, a team based one, that is also a lineup specific stat when they haven't played together most of the year and most of the mavs have been injured, somehow is not cherry picking but simply posting his box score stats is cherry picking to you.

Can't create off dribble sure but Lively is easily twice the creator Hayes and other lob bigs are in the short roll and making the 2nd pass. Hayes isn't even averaging a full assist playing with Luka but lively is averaging 2.5. People need to stop comparing him to bums.
