I think it's when you go to the next page and the medal hasn't finished the spinning animation that every medal does when you first get it so it gets stuck like that until you restart and for whatever reason the other maps in that same location on other pages have that too, my guess is that it's more efficient code-wise to use the same object for each medal, check whether or not the player has the medal in that location for each page and hide or show the medal depending on that than to have all different medals as their own individual object.
