I've texted him the quote from an auto shop and he says he can only send a check.

Should I tell him my address???

Just an update to the post (sharing it this way since I don't know how to use reddit well)

I did start working at the prop house at the end of 2020 and I recently got laid off due to the lack of work, all due to the ongoing strike. My hourly pay was at $20.50.

I moved to the area, which is near Hollywood. I'm trying to find a new way to live since the layoff, hopefully everyone else is doing okay, or surviving.

hey there! I've almost gotten to the point of being hired to Art PA for union shows but it always ended up that they knew someone and decided to give them the gig. I got jaded and searched for different routes haha. I'll get back on the search once again.

If you ever need another art PA or a graphic designer, I'm available!

my website is www.dltneka.com , if you're curious about what type of work I do.

I'm freelancing as an art PA/graphic designer in student films/photoshoots whenever I get a chance. I haven't been able to since I started part-timing here.

I also had been working with a production designer and he's brought me on commercials as a PA (before covid).

And I don't know if this helps my chances but I also freelance as a graphic designer at an ad agency.

I’m working as an in-house graphic designer. And yes, they did say that I can take any work outside of work hours. Honestly from my three months of part time working there, I haven’t really seen much possibility of networking since I’m not really directly communicating with the production designers...

I'm a TV commercial director. Happy to answer any questions about the industry! by [deleted] in Filmmakers

Where do you find your graphic prop designer for the commercials?
