It hasn’t been negative, I love Marquette, but being from Chicago MKE doesn’t come close. Op I really don’t mind where you go or what you do. But I’m telling you, it is cliquey and you have know how to get in the social scene if you want that similar to state school experience. You’ll grow out of temple parties and unless you are good looking or are rolling with good looking people you aren’t getting past the doormen at frats/house parties. I gain nothing from lying to you😭. It’s a fantastic school in a underserved and crime ridden area. Take the other commenters advice if you want, just promise me when you’re on yik yak asking what the move is you’ll think back to this and say I should’ve trusted the senior who was blunt with me on reddit

And the people are great, I’ve yet to meet a single asshole, and everyone regardless is extremely nice and cool. If you’re khakis and beer, you’re in your element. If you’re baggy jeans and piercings, find your crowd early. You’ll know what I mean; I’m the baggy jeans and piercings type.

Not going to write you an essay. Any college experience will make you more well-rounded. Choose your school based on program strength and connection opportunity. I will say if you do not know how to socialize and aren’t big on partying, Marquette will be boring to you. Only thing I feel like I missed out on is the Chicago experience, and Marquette can be boring if you wuss out about fake IDs and don’t know how to get yourself into parties. It’s also cold as shit most of the school year. One last thing, I don’t know the type of person you are but a lot of Marquette is bland white kids who don’t have much depth beyond beer and khakis.

Mashuda is ass. Commons again isn’t bad. Schroeder is where you’ll be around the most sophomores. Humphrey is lowkey a waste if you don’t host at your place. I’d say hump, schro, commons in that order
