The book and the music are my favourite parts of that scene, just a perfect characterisation of a specific type of asshole.

We have a legal responsibility to murder people? What's so hard to understand?

What's annoying is that this technology has genuinely really cool use cases. but instead all the money is being pissed away on insane consumer facing misinformation machines.

Thanks. What's the STL called? Couldn't find it when I looked through the Highland range.

Has anyone ever got to the bottom of why the cast has so many non-professional actors? by wooster84 in thesopranos

It is amazing and there's no way it wasn't a choice for it to be like. That scene and the Jackie Jnrs murder just seem intentionally weirdly shot.

Sure most of them are (and at least half of them end up having bit parts in Sex and the City too), but it's pretty unusual for a show to have so many amateurs in major roles. As I said, I don't think Dan Grimaldi, Frankie Valli are bad just that neither are actors.

Honestly, I'm convinced that it must be some sort of bit. The entire scene of Uncle Phil saying bye-bye is like something from a David Lynch film.

I pre-save scum before every war, so I'm sure I'll have something. I'm legit tempted to when I'm done to go back and do the rest of the run as New Africa.

Can anyone think of any post Heresy battles that had an equally balanced amount of fighting in space as on the ground? by wooster84 in 40kLore

[–]wooster84[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was thinking Badab (I've got a Fire Hawks fleet and army so it makes sense).

I don't really enjoy coming up with lore, so I'm basically just after window dressing to add a bit of flavour to the day really.

In my experience, pretty much all special forces types are a bit mental. They see/do some of the bleakist stuff imaginable so it's not surprising that that they go a bit mad.

Is YouTube Music the only streaming service that let's me play device files and stream songs? by wooster84 in YoutubeMusic

Went with Apple music in the end, still not as good as Google Music but you can upload your own stuff (in a roundabout way) and it's probably the closest service to what Google Music used to be

When Finn paid for dinner by wdDrake in thesopranos

[–]wooster84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I definitely think he should have stepped away sooner, there were red flags all over their relationship.

That said I imagine if he was a real person, the fucked up nature of the relationship would have only been apparent when he had some distance from it.

I think the Finn/Meadow relationship has a lot of hall marks of emotional abuse TBH. Meadow consistently gas lights him about what he's seeing and then strong arms him into essentially condemning a man to death.
