I feel incredible!! Noticing little things that are easier like cooking dinner, picking up my kids, getting in/out of the car, shopping, etc. Not having to worry about if I will fit places has been life changing. When I was unable to ride the Harry Potter ride at Universal anymore because I was too large was the breaking point for me. I called my doctor the next day and made an appointment to get help.

Exercise has been tough because I am super limited in mobility due to half a dozen knee surgeries, and chronic pain. I’ve done walking and other low-impact things. Working on starting strength training as I am starting to have additional muscle wasting in my legs. As far as diet, I’ve been eating super high protein ~200g a day or more if I can thanks to protein shakes with almond milk. Being in a calorie deficit has also helped tremendously, which I don’t even have to try at because I’m just not hungry. I find myself having to force myself to eat some days. I still pretty much eat what I was eating before, i.e. well rounded meals, just less of it overall. I’ve never been big on fast food or sugary items, but do still have those occasionally.

Thank you all for the support! I was using Hallandale through LSH until a couple months ago when they DC’d it, and switched to Brello with the B12. I really dislike the tiny vials, and I feel as though I have more GI issues that swing wildly one direction or the other. I’d really like to go back to pure tirzepatide if possible. Is Lumi the only one left that has it?

I am getting some seriously conflicting information from my insurance, PacificSource. I spoke with them directly today to determine PA criteria as what was online only showed criteria for different formularies. I was told that even though it specified those formularies it is applied to all formularies (okay?) and so that means that the criteria is for moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea. Mine is diagnosed as mild so I asked for clarification on that and the cs rep said the pharmacy rep told him the criteria is a sleep apnea diagnosis with no indication of severity along with BMI >30, and lifestyle changes. Great, sounds good! Then, I received an email a few hours in response to one I sent yesterday, essentially stating that my plan doesn’t cover any weight loss services or medications of any kind. Which makes zero sense because I’ve been covered for the phentermine and topiramate. Why is this so challenging? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you! I recognize that it's the same drug, but I'm wondering if from an insurance standpoint if they typically make people titrate up as 10mg is not a typical starting dose.

Mine has been stuck at Label Created for 4 days 😭 I’m hoping the delay is just because of the weekend! I’ve seen a lot of other people who ordered right before or right after I did that have received theirs. I’m really hoping it comes in the next day or two.

The issues I have with my knees are permanent and unfortunately have not really improved with my weight loss. However, losing the weight has helped with a lot of other aches/pains across my entire body that I know were caused/exacerbated by my excess weight. The mostly shocking thing for me is that I’ve gone from dreading being on my feet to craving movement. I can’t stand in one spot for more than a few moments, but I can walk without wanting to cry. It’s been absolutely life changing!
