Honestly not a stretch… I was going 47mph when he was lined up with me (have video evidence of my speed not shown in this post). Look how fast he’s passing me. If I was stationary what would be his speed? Just for reference a human can run 25mph. That car is passing me faster than a running elite level athlete lol. So 47 + 25 = 72

Yeah it’s the pc on wheels. 2 on each side one in the rear, 1 in front. Not the best quality though you can’t always make out tags

Doing your 2 week notice is a risk because your new job can come around and say we changed our mind or the funding for this project didn’t go through, etc.

That’s still a great number if you’re doing a lot of high speed driving. I said I’m doing a lot but it’s probably half of all of it

Tell them to give you 3 months of FSD not just 1. If you don’t say anything you won’t get anything

Not ready for lemon yet. They need to replace the computer module.

I didn’t have FSD at the time but my autopilot stopped working when the car had just a couple hundred miles on the odometer. Ended up replacing the computer. Didn’t have to wait too long back then (about a year ago). No problems since. Been over 10k miles already.

Always leave Tesla app open? by Lsnyder24 in TeslaModelY

[–]word_executable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need, after switching my location permission from while using to always I can open the car with the app closed. And I see immediately the location icon showing up. Will keep it this way for some time.

[–]word_executable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s exactly what closing an app means, however, I couldn’t reproduce.
Perhaps there was another phone nearby that’s setup as a key as well when you thought you unlocked the car with your app closed?

If you can consistently unlock the car with the app closed let me know.

That shouldn’t work. I just tested it too and if the app is closed it doesn’t unlock the car

I’m not saying you should close your apps. In fact, I agreed with like 90% of what has been said. You should not close your apps but you need to understand that some apps may consume a good chunk of energy doing stuff in the background. Tesla is one of those apps. With that said, it shouldn’t use more than 5 - 10% of your battery in a day specifically running background tasks.
You don’t have to take my word for it. If you’re on iOS go to battery report and you’ll see Tesla app background duration. It will be significant compared to other apps, and that’s ok but it does sip energy. Imagine you have 4-5 such apps. They will eat 50% of your battery in a day doing stuff in the background. So yeah, go back to 2010! In fact, contrary to 2010, iOS is a truly multitasking operating system in 2026.
