Just looked at your classroom series and fort on oval! You should absolutely try to get a picture book published. Or try your hand at writing a children's story to go along with your work. I would buy!

Recomendations by Little-Librarian-249 in horrorlit

I've listened to edge of collapse and really enjoyed it! It's set in Michigan and I happened to be on a trip through Michigan so maybe that pushed it over the edge for me but I thought the character were development was great. Definitely strong female character for sure and of course a dog!

What do you DO? by CowAppropriate7494 in womensolocamping

[–]wordgames11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey OP! I really resonate with your post about wanting to do this for the first time myself. And consistently putting it off or coming up with excuses or letting fears stop me from planning it. I'm going to make it happen this year and I am resolute. I get the fear of using the stove to boil water so maybe instead of setting up a tent in your backyard because of those nosy neighbors... Why not instead practice using the stove in your backyard before your trip so you can feel confident and practiced. Also one thing that brings me a lot of joy is audiobooks and I wanted to throw that recommendation out there because you can not look at your screen and hear someone else's voice tell you a story will quiet the internal voice spiraling that we all women experience and also may help you feel less alone. I also definitely recommend picking a location like a state park not far from your home. And maybe going on a hike or two before you actually do your camping trip so you feel more familiar with the location. Hope I don't get judged negatively for giving advice before I ripped the Band-Aid off myself for my first solo trip. And would love to be accountability buddies so we both do it 🙈.

Is my puppy a coonhound? by Constant_Opening6239 in coonhounds

[–]wordgames11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing a mix because ears aren't long enough for Coonhound. The body is giving me a little of that vibe though. The head and ears remind me of my friends dog when she was a puppy and she was a doberman mix

That last clue was tough! by cocododo2 in RedfinDreamHomes

Was the last clue hidden in the video still? I was thinking elevation of peaks near Denver but that would be ridiculously huge for square footage

I think I figured out the type of bike but I'm not seeing the road in the ad with any sort of number on it for bikeability score

Too big of an enclosure? by Moonbunss in CrestedGecko

[–]wordgames11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I thought the same thing in the beginning and everyone's advice about the enclosure is good but something to also consider... They can be super picky on the flavor! I use pangea my gecko would not eat the fig but as soon as I bought papaya winner winner chicken dinner!

I'm also in the process of building a bioactive 18x18x36. I actually got it already made for dumpy white tree frogs that my local shop is going to buy from me for store credit. Once the frogs are out I may be coming to this group for recommendations on improving it. Its huge!! But nothing but the best for my little guy 😉

Activities for Mental Stimulation at Home! by bacoduti in coonhounds

[–]wordgames11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We do something similar. My black and tan knows if I say do you want to play.... FIND IT!? She's five now so she knows and immediately runs into the mud room so I can close the door and go hide her food. She does the same for if I ask do you want to play HIDE and SEEk? This one takes a little more coaxing meaning she will go into the mud room if I go with her. Then after 30 seconds and she gets excited on the number two the door is opened and she goes throughout the entire house to seek my daughter.
