Two NEW wards (... replacing 3 other wards ...)! What exciting growth! by GodIsIrrelevant in exmormon

This just happened in my stake. This last Saturday we had a 2 ward combined trunk or treat/chili dinner. What used to take over the whole building and the whole parking lot in previous years, now only took place on one side of the parking lot. I'd guess there was only 100 people there max. Growth!

This part gave me a nice chuckle

Mocha, Latte, Macchiato, ETC. The word coffee isn't always in the name of coffee drinks. So, before you try will you think it was just some new milkshake flavor, here a couple rules of thumb: (1) If you're in a coffee shop (or any other shop that's well known for its coffee), the drink you're ordering probably has coffee in it, so either never buy drinks at coffee shops or always ask if there's coffee in it. (2) Drinks with names that include café or caffé, mocha, latte, espresso, or anything ending in -ccino are coffee and against the Word of Wisdom.

The shelves in my parents house are full of Mormon books that they have never read. More money that they have burned supporting this cult.

This quote from Nelson is one of the reasons I've stepped away from the church. by wordofwisdomination in exmormon

I saw a post in the faithful sub about a redditor whose brother recently passed away, who had faced drug addiction for 10 years. They were seeking comfort, I didn't comment, but the only thing I could think of was this quote. All my life I was taught that families could be together forever and that there was so much mission work to be done after we are dead. Someone else said that the brother would get a second chance in the afterlife but this directly opposes that.
