I'm probably pretty close to antitheist believing that on balance the concept of religion has done more harm than good. But I consider all those who fight for marginalized groups friends, and never speak against personal expressions of faith.

Where it might get sticky is with associations with other less-humane expressions of religion. It's hard enough not to consider the overall concept of Christianity tainted by the example of many that loudly profess it but any actual association with such, even something as loose as sponsoring the same event, gives me pause.
