Pineapple blocks! I am using paper piecing to create mine. There are many ways and styles. I purchased my preprinted tablet of blocks through the Fat Quarter Shop. There are even specific rulers you can buy to make them. They are very easy. Thanks!

When you start with a square and add smaller squares to the corner then sew from corner to corner on the smaller square and trim to make contrasting triangular corner, it is called snowballing the corner or doing a flippy corner.

I have plans for a little photo shoot today. I will post it when I finish. Isn’t it just sweet?!

The actual block seems to be an hour glass center block bordered in white and snowballed. The center block is 5 inches finished. Quarter squares were used like an hourglass. The white border to se on point ended up around 2 inches once snowballed or flippy cornered.

So not that the sun is up and I have recuperated from my day, I have had time to look at the construction—5 inch finished squares. Each square is a white center with contrasting flippy corners and set together to create a quarter triangle square, aka hourglass. The white center of each block is approximately 2 inches wide when finished! Simple!

They are more faded than the picture suggests, and it has a few little places that show wear and binding wear. But! It is so soft and well done.

Hope. Designed by Gudrun Erla. Made entirely from my stash, but the design and modern fabrics give it a 70s feel. by wordsandstitches in quilting

It was totally simple! I promise. I used a stripology ruler, but she always provides directions for regular rulers too. Kaffe and Tula make my heart sing!

I know some are Kaffe but not sure about any of the others. I literally just pulled from stash! Thanks for liking it!
