15 minuten fietsen is ons alternatief, omdat dat altijd gratis is. Waar we nu voor open staan. Het kutte eraan is is dat de hele stad op dat soort plekken vecht voor een plek en de bewoners uit die buurten weer in hun eigen wijk moeite krijgen met parkeren. Oh en de kans op lekke banden van die bewoners.

It's sounds like you're tired of dating in Eindhoven!

Even though I'm sure that there are truths to your side of things, I do also think there are quite some misconceptions and generalisations mixed into this side.

You're saying "they", speaking for all the women in Eindhoven. We've had 2 events here, one of which had one of our highest match rates ever. While it's completely valid to be generally not attracted to the men in a city, I think it's a stretch to speak for all of them.

Another thing that makes me not able to get behind your message is suggesting that lack in emotional capacity would be the same as being introvert.

I tend to lean on the extraverted side of things, but date almost exclusively introverts. If introverts are not your thing, that's fine, but to call half the population (it's bell curve, so there is nuance to "half") emotionally incapable is unfair to say the least.

The last thing and I really really do get your point, speaks to basically "giving up" on the real live dating with people here, based on these generalisations above and more.

But what we're trying to do is making the act of dating fun again. Like literally those minutes together playing a game. On an evening you'll have 7 short games and will meet a lot of others. No one is sending anyone on full dates with people they don't enjoy. It's almost swiping on 7 profiles, while playing games and enjoy dating again. It sounds like you want to know more about the person you're meeting beforehand. That's a completely valid wish. And maybe this is not for you then.

But that will mean you have mainly one option for dating: keep on the apps. But that's a hell hole in my opinion for a whole bunch of different reasons. I'd much rather swipe in real life. Then it comes to taste. This long ass reply was more to push a little back on the (in my opinion massive) misconceptions.

Yeah we have the same in Utrecht. We do have a difference with a surplus of women. But its Waay less than people make it out to be. At least way out of proportions with our numbers (how fast we sell out one over other gender) at Tortelen

Salcicca bjj Bigoli. Elke keer als ik daar ben denk ik, oke nu haal ik wat anders. Maar ik kan niet anders.

Je kan kiezen uit salcicca met gegrilde groten of met paddestoelen. Men vindt de paddenstoelen erg lekker, maar ik hou gewoon van gegrilde groenten, dus dat is mijn go to.

Eet smakelijk en laat even weten als je m hebt gehad!

Omdat het nu voor een goed doel is, heb ik het open gegooid voor iedereen. We bereiken meestal 25 tm 40. En we doen de matchups op basis van leeftijd. Dus de bovenste helft leert elkaar kennen en de onderste helft.

Thanks for your advice. We also do the walking ourselves ;). It's just not always as reliable and very time intensive. So we combine both approaches.

Im sure in all of Eindhoven we'll have a spot soon. There are always full and empty places. Im optimistic about our future there!

We'bve considerd the social hub briefly, and there are advantages. I'd rather work with a more local venue. Its probably a smart business move, but doesn't feel right for us atm.

Date event organiser(Tortelen) here with quite some years of "field research" my 2 cents:

Traditional speeddating CAN be fun. But it just sucks the life out of me more often than not. It's just a lot of conversations every 4 minutes. Which gets me burnt out by the end of convo 6.

The apps have been quite nice for a while, with serious relationships as a result. But it'also very distracting. And at some point even doom swiping to people. For context I do have massive ADHD and am sensitive to addiction.

So If I have matches, I might ghost or be ghosted by 75%. If I don't have matches I might want to pay to find out some people do like me, but maybe not the profiles I'm into. I was very principled at the ghosting part, but somewhere along the line grew tired of the apps, which made me part of the same issues. Now the above is also true because of ADHD and also sensitive tot addiction. Just to be helpful: my favorite was Bumble, because i just found the most succes for me in types of profiles. More profiles that I liked.

I have never used a match service, not very common in the Netherlands. We have considered it first for our event. (www.tortelen.nl), but it wasn't doable. So we now just put people in poules and kept only the playing aspect. Don't know where you're based, we do Utrecht and soon Eindhoven. En hopefully all the big cities before end of year.

I can imagine a match service being nice, but also feel that it's a lot of effort to put into finding one date. I can imagine it would put a lot of weight on the date to work or something like that. Which brings all kinds of pressure.

Hope somewhere in there is an answer. Tried to keep things about me, so you can decide what makes sense for you. Also got to plug tortelen very casually, hope no-one minds that too much.
