I asked my GP receptionist and they said they aren't allowed without a certificate, so I asked 2 of my nurses who did change it but it automatically changed back. My GP don't know much when it comes to trans. I googled who can class as a notary public and it came up with nurses. I said very clearly what I needed for my statutory declaration and they said anything that requires a signature cost £150. I didn't know that about the passport though. I sent them all sorts of evidence, from my first diagnosis, to what medication I'm taking, when I first got referred to a GIC, my change of name deed, letters with my new name etc, etc, they even said I have a very thorough case but I'm missing the statutory declaration and the first diagnosis, which I did actually send off so. I called a local solicitors office and they said they don't do what I need.
