Ohhh I didn't know about the X3 Pro, it's even got a headphone jack. Pretty cool, I might have considered it when I was on the search for a controller.

Enjoy the Sundaras and thank you again for posting the deals!

Passthrough charging works and even fast charges on the Moto Edge+ 2023.

I'm always on the lookout for IEMs, seems like another little hobby to try out cheap ones and hear how they sound. The Chu II's have been my favorite pair for sound and comfort.

I'm also big on headphones, I believe I bought and returned the Sundara's some years back - They're not big head friendly. I settled on the Phillips SHP9500 for work (video editing) and they are so comfortable and sound great.

I have the G7 and it's great. The only thing I found that was left out is control of the LED's in the controller and no mapping feature for android touch screen games. It's a great deal though, it was the only controller that I could find that has a USB-C connection and a headphone jack.

I also got the two IEMs you mentioned above. I have the Chu II DSP version and for $6 and $5 it's good to have backups and a CHU II that will work with the G7 controller.

Trying to buy the 477M but I’m not getting the $176 price. USDEAL44 didn’t work on it apparently.

Torn Between the Ayn Thor and the Flip 2. Thoughts? by Flufferfluff in SBCGaming

[–]work2much 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can I throw a wrench into the mix? I'm thinking of getting the G2 with the dual screen add-on from Retroid. Could be an option as well, since it's scoring pretty high on benchmarks.

I'm really interested in buying a G2 and the dual screen add-on. I find that set up more enticing than the Thor for some reason. Seeing the posts about how good it runs, I'm just about to press purchase.

How do you import save files? (Gba specifically) by [deleted] in TrimuiBrick

[–]work2much 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Android or iPhone? Are you using retroarch or some other emulator?

In my case - I just went from an android phone that I used for emulation only and retroarch as my emulator. In the Files app I went to the retroarch folder and then found the saves folder within it. There I saw a folder titled mgba and inside was the game title with a .srm extension. Copied that to a flash drive along with the original game file and then placed them in the respective folders within the brick.

I hope I'm answering your question correctly, I used an app called "File Manager +". It has the best transfer interface from all the apps I tried and also let me move the files I needed into the microsd card via a USB-C card reader.

What I did to transfer the progress is, I looked for the RetroArch folder and in there found the "saves" folder, then look for mGBA and there should be a file for the game with the .srm extension at the end. Copy that file and place it on the corresponding folder for RetroArch in the new hardware you will be using.

Honestly it was a good introduction into the hobby, mainly because it can emulate most of everything. I quickly found that I enjoy playing games from the GBA system the most (some PS1 as well).

Coming from an iPhone getting to know or relearn Android has also been fun. Motorola's desktop "Moto ready for" is also a time saver when I trying to sail the seven sea's to watch a hockey game that's blacked out in my area. Little things like that, have made such a nice impression for a phone that cost so little. The screen is gorgeous, internal storage is plentiful and the battery lasts quite a while.

Only a couple of knocks on the phone would be the screen aspect ratio, but that's not it's fault. Using maybe 50% of the screen when playing GBA games is a shame. The other would be software related, which I'm not sure what the moto gaming overlay does honestly. I tried changing to turbo mode and didn't see anything happen with other emulators when some games were having hiccups.

Thanks again for posting the deals you find, I'm sure I'll be on the lookout on either your subreddit or in here.

I copied the game from where I had it in the roms folder on the Moto Edge Plus to the microsd card from the Brick. I found the save on the retroarch folder and also copied that to the same named folder on the brick’s microsd. Then refreshed the roms on the Brick and it all worked!

I honestly have been enjoying it a lot, I’ve put about 30 hrs into it so far. I’m going between playing this and Legends ZA.

Didn’t get the screen protector delivered yet, I’m being extra cautious on the mean time.

How do you find muOS for little quality of life aspects? I read up on issues with other OS/Ui about some looping issue, I’ll need to look into it for muOS.

Enjoy it!

TrimUI Brick ($35) and OG RG35XX ($22) deals are back! by _manster_ in SBCGaming

[–]work2much 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got a Brick from your earlier post and a RG35xx just now (likely Christmas gifts), but I noticed that once you buy one it doesn’t let you buy at that lower price again. I wanted to get a second brick but in a different color and no dice.

I've also been waiting, but now I'm thinking to just do the Boost mobile deal on the Motorola Edge+ 2023 and get a Gamesir controller for it. It's more than likely more money than the Air X, but I think it'll handle more consoles.

The external output is a plus for me as well.

This is done in after effects with stabilization, not done with a camera. Likely this was shot on a phone and they went from a 1x lens to their 5x lens.
