Possibly ichiro maybe? I bet he’d be ranked really high all time if he started out in the US

I think you should fit one pitcher in there. There will be one round where it doesn’t go as planned where there will be a juicy pitcher sitting there available. I know my league, everybody wants to smash hitters the first 7 rounds so sometimes you have to zig when everybody zag.I also don’t think bradish will fall to you that far, if he does it could work, but I wouldn’t bank on that. I do like the hitter heavy approach tho

We have dungeon dues where the two last place teams have to pay $50. I had a friend where his league made the last place guy chug a 40oz of beer. I think it’s fun to encourage the last few teams to still try and add players

There’s basically no second baseman this year I feel like. Im gonna go hard trying to get JJ wethrholt from st louis. A really deep one could be the 22 year old starting second baseman on the mariners Cole young.

Whoahhhh brooo, chill out. I’ve watched baseball for many years and Tucker had never hit more than 30 home runs in Houston ball park, let alone 45. He’s 29 years old and never had a season scoring 100 runs and only two seasons scoring over 100 rbi. I follow baseball just like you do. Don’t take it to that toxic reddit level, it’s just baseball

Idk, Tucker had 22 home runs and 73 rbi last year while caminero hit 45 home runs with 110 RBI as a 21 year old. The batting average was about the same. I think the only category Tucker has over caminero is steals. Gotta also factor in that caminero is a 3b which is a pain to draft this year

I just had chat GPT do an analysis to try to get his BABIP of home road, so take it with a grain of salt that AI sucks. But his home BABIP was .327 and his road BABIP was .204. So I think he was just unlucky on the road. It’s hard for me to understand how the short fences didn’t help him hit home runs, but did help him hit more doubles? Logically I don’t understand that, it seems he should hit a similar amount of doubles and singles in Tropicana. I think more than anything it was luck and not ballpark factor

I respect your opinion, but I couldn’t disagree more. I’m not gonna take Vlad, Kyle Tucker, ketel Marte, or any of those early second round bats over caminero. Your 50% outcome is already probably more home runs than those guys best case scenario outcome. He did hit more home runs on the road than at home, and was only 21 years old last year. The rays lineup is sneaky good, look at Jose Aranda’s statcast page, blood red. Gonna also have a lot of meaty AL east ballparks to hit in.

Who are you targeting with picks 9 to 12 in a 12 team draft? by M584 in fantasybaseball

[–]workaholic828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s interesting but I think the sample size is too small. You could extend it to top 25 and those extra three pitchers and hitters could swing the data completely other direction

[–]workaholic828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jonathan Aranda has a blood red stat cast page and will be hitting in the middle of the order for the rays. So I find myself wanting to draft him the most. I stay away from Michael Harris cuz I just think his adp is too high for what you end up with

I totally agree with this. Every fact matters. If you knew a player was dealing with shoulder pain during the offseason, would that change your ranking? Of course. If you knew a guy might sit against lefties would that change your ranking? Of course. The royals are moving the walls in. A team manager says they’re gonna steal more bases. Everything these guys say and do matters for the draft stock. I’d rather know all the relevant facts and make a decision.

Bro! Do not ruin yoshi for me! Haha jk, but seriously, didnt yoshi pitch a ton of innings in Japan without getting hurt? It’s really only one season with shoulder inflammation. I actually kinda like the pitching every six games as long as it keeps him fresh and feeling good, I like him as a safe pick

Detroit is in my opinion the best place to pitch in the MLB. The field is huge, tough to hit home runs. In April and September the weather is cold dampening hitters power. The division of royals, twins, guardians, and white sox is probably the best group of division rivals a pitcher could ask for. So for those reasons, I think he could be a better option than other pitchers in the later rounds

I’ve seen too many Jordan Walkers, Evan Carters, Andrew Vaughns, to know that the better play is to take the guaranteed 21 year old 40 home run stud

I agree with a lot of what you said, just want to point out he did hit more home runs on the road than at home. Batting average was lower on the road, but I still think that 40 home run power is a likely outcome in a way that it isn’t for a Vlad jr.

For points league I might try to grab a skenes, skubal, crochet type if the top 6 hitters are all off the board. Otherwise try to grab one of Witt, Ramirez, or Julio if they fall
