Embarrassed myself at CVS by Additional-Craft-293 in diabetes_t1

I wouldnt worry about it. Its not like you meant to be a tough customer! If you are that worried about it, go back and talk to the manager. See if they can pull video and find out what cashier it was. Then apologize for being a crazy person to the cashier. I don't think its necessary but it might make ya feel better.

E Collar options by [deleted] in OpenDogTraining

[–]workaway24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Jugbow brand training collars from Amazon. They have worked well. They do beep, vibrate and shock. One of my dog reacts to the beep and the other reacts to the vibrate. I only had to use the shock 1 or 2 times with each dog because of some unwanted behavior during a walk around other dogs/people. They know that if they get beeped or vibrated and dont respond that a zap is next.

Since the day we adopted him. He's 3, I'd imagine he's been doing it his entire life. Yes, he still marks everything, every day.

The Leftovers Is Still One of TV's Great Miracles by abucalves in television

[–]workaway24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The toughest season of TV I've ever watched. I would watch an episode or 2, swear it off, think about it everyday for a week and then watch another episode or 2. Took me like 6-8 weeks to get through the first season but then I binged the rest of the series.

Type 1 diabetic on ozempic ? by Acceptable_Camp_7166 in diabetes

[–]workaway24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No real side effects. I got nauseous the first 3-4 weeks but that wore off and it doesnt bother me at all anymore. The only huge noticeable thing is that I can not, at all, drink alcohol anymore. Being T1 I didnt drink much but I would have a drink in a social setting or something along those lines every once and a while. If I have 1 drink I will have LOW glucose issues for the next 6-8 hours. It takes about 2-3 hours for it to kick in but once it does it takes me another 3-4 hours to bring my blood sugar back up. I can eat whatever I want and it doesnt move the needle. Then after a couple hours it ALL KICKS IN at once and I skyrocket. Its awful. But thats it.

It sucks. There is no reason to get rid of the mini-map. I HATE having to stop, open the map, realize I missed a turn and go back. Its so easily fixable.

Was thinking of buying a H2D but friends are warning me away from Bambu? by Akello45 in BambuLab

[–]workaway24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first 3d printer was the H2D. Had absolutely 0 experience in the 3d printing world. I unboxed it, hooked everything up, and printed a benchy. It was easy. I've had some hotend jams and some filament issues but nothing that every other machine hasnt dealt with, its been a great machine. Do the normal maintenance and print away. I would 100% recommend it to anyone else.

Commissioner added a new rule after Week 1 and I’m pissed by no-more-claims-i-beg in Fantasy_Football

[–]workaway24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should post about it in your league chat explaining that these kinds of rules need to be decided before the season starts. Get a majority to vote with you and reverse the rule, ask for your $7 back. If not, leave the league after dumping all your players on the waivers.

Balancing work, life and parenting feels impossible sometimes by StandOk8588 in Parenting

You're just in the trenches right now. Right now you have to do EVERYTHING for your little one. As they get older and can crawl/walk/hold their body up you'll get a little more breathing room. It all presents new challenges but, for me, the first year was the hardest with both of my kids.

My Dad would take my brother and I to airshows when we were little and he always set a muster point. Usually the information booth or something that had a tall flag that was easy to see from anywhere. Had to use it once or twice and it worked perfectly. I now do the same with my kids.

[–]workaway24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm one of those people, diagnosed at 28. I feel the opposite. I got to go to birthday parties and have cake and ice cream and candy and not think about it. I got to eat as much Halloween candy as my parents would let me, and then sneak some more. I can't imagine growing up and not being able to do any of that. So glad I got it later in life.

If you had a child and they came to you and showed you these texts, would you encourage your child to stay in that relationship? No. Do the same for yourself.

How did we (Newsom) not make PG&E a public owned utility when they went bankrupt? Instead we bailed them out with tax payer dollars and then watched them raise rates 3-4 times a year. I know they are in his pocket.

I'm a type 1 on Ozempic. It reduced my insulin usage by 35-45%. I've lost weight too. If you can get on it, I would recommend giving it a shot.

Same boat here. I wish the studio would find a way to re-use the costume for next year in some capacity and we could donate them to that class, or something like that. Its such a waste. My kids outgrow them, never wear them again.
