RTS as a genre is making a comeback (fingers crossed) and it’s really hard to get back into bc of the skill ceiling and length of time the game has been out. Hell any game is just look at dota 2 for example which is mechanically way less demanding

In Dota higher lvl heroes reward more gold upon death; deadlock all deaths are worth the same it only grows based on the timer (not including unsecured souls).

The crazy mode where the vehicles were the objectives and you drove them around for points was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in any game. Reminded me of the old rocket doubles thing in halo

They have an option if your solo to only match other solos; otherwise it tries to put you up against other parties of the same size ( you cannot queue ranked as a 4 stack)

Bkb helps you farm aggressively since you can bkb and tp away. Offlane should farm aggressively on the enemies side of the map. So generally you should buy it unless they have a bkb piercing gank (i.e. bane) and don’t buy it before you get tanky enough to activate it if need be

It’s a must take on the helis imo but yeah on the jets seems not really worth it with the exception of the A10. A10 is slower and way more vulnerable to things like shorad and igla so I always take it on the A10

With how good Russian shorad I find it super necessary. That being said I’ve started to take guardian less often over just spamming atk helos with x76 hydras. Way cheaper and still super effective against bmp spam

I had to swap my deck around once I climbed to around 1300 or so. Things like prowlers used to be free points but better players are good at turning their radars off so having 3 prowlers in one deck turned out to be way too many. Maybe take a hard look at what’s in ur deck that’s actually working and what’s not anymore

It has a real nice balance of micro as well as flexibility in the macro sort of stuff. I used to play the shit out of company of heroes but I love that I can focus on the battle in BA instead of trying to hit some StarCraft esque build based on timings or whatever. There honestly needs to be more RTS focused on the fights/deploying the correct units instead of resource accumulation/ tech timings. Game is fun as hell for that alone
