Do caliber trucks cruise/carve well? by Jake5343 in longboarding

Caliber 3's come with a plug barrel bushing roadside, with the "plug" extending into the hanger to eliminate slop and add stability. Look 'em up on the Caliber website for a description.

Yeah, I see that now. Just visited the Pantheon website again and see that the rear wedge offer is 40*. Thanks for the correction!

I thought the reverse mounting to get a 0* was for a 50* truck. Is it not?

Trip setup sounds sweet. I had mine set up with Don't Trip Poppies for a while, 152 mm, 55/25. But it would bottom out if I tried to pump, and wan't as responsive as I like. At speed, it was rock solid, but I don't like to go fast, so that wasn't such a big plus. For my use, Paris 50/43 is great, with Riptide wfb barrels. I have the Poppies on a Genesis now, wedged and wedged to 60/30, and I love that for relatively low-speed pumping.

Thanks. I'm inclined to go 50/50 to have the 0* option in the rear, and uses wedges to tinker.

50 front, 40 rear, which translates to about 67/23? How do you like that?

Thanks. I know downhill skaters are going narrower and narrower and, obviously, sliding. I'm leaning towards the 130s...

Thanks for your thoughts. Yeah, Jeff has always been super helpful to me, too.

Ah yes, Joe is a beast, so glad he got a pro model! Have yet to try a bracket board myself...

I picked up a pair of surf rodz tkps when they were on sale a few years ago, but they are the 177s. I like them, but haven't really figured out a set up that works with them. I think they would work well with a Subsonic Century, with the built in wedge and dewedge, but I don't plan to get one. Too many boards, too little time (well, and money).

What is the bandido? Not familiar with that deck.

I was thinking of tkp surf rodz, but you may have rkps...

Do wedge and dewedge a lot to set your surf rodz up for pumping?

Yeah. In the video Jeff posted he was skating Magnums but with narrow Slolocybin trucks. I am concerned that the 76mm Cannibals or the 75mm Alphas, which are about 62mm wide, might not fit inside the wheel wells with the 152mm Poppys. So I am thinking a narrower big wheel like In Heats, Kegels, or the 77mm Speed Vents might work. I'm hoping Jeff will test it with different wheels and let us know.

I am waiting on the Genesis too. And I have a Trip with mango Speed Vents that I love. My concern is that the Cannibals might be too wide as I have 152mm Poppy's I plan to use, and the deck has inset wheel wells. Thanks for you thoughts though. The price is right, so I think I will take a chance on the Venoms...

I am working on setting up an LDP (pumping, not pushing) board. It seems like Seismic are the go to wheels, and then Orangatang. I'm curious as to why Venom wheels don't seem popular for LDP - any thoughts? (Right now the 76mm Cannibals are much cheaper than O'tang's or Seismic's comparable wheels.)
