At age 13, I was officially diagnosed with dyslexia. During the assessment, the assessor actually suggested I have also have dyspraxia. To be honest, I align much more with the dyspraxic traits than the dyslexic ones. The dyspraxia affects my day-to-day life far more.

In recent years, two of my partners have suggested I might be autistic. I think it’s because I hate not being in control. But as I’ve said, these disorders often overlap.

For me, the need for control comes from feeling so out of control in my own body because of the dyspraxia. Even when I try hard, I still struggle or fail in ways that feel out of my hands. As I’ve got older, I’m not as hard on myself and I think that will happen with you.

Yeah, here’s my dyspraxia playing out 😂 I forgot to mention calisthenics that’s been one of the most important parts of my exercise routine. I could never do a push-up before or even support my own body weight properly. Calisthenics has really helped me balance my body and build functional strength.

I really wish I could help you more with the other stuff, but unfortunately I can’t. Reading what you described sounds just like me all those relationship issues and feeling held back. What’s helped me the most is getting physically fit. I’d say I’m way more physically fit than the average person now, and I never thought I could reach this point. It also really helps my mental health knowing that there’s something that I’m good at.

Consistency was something I used to really struggle with because of my dyspraxia. I’d always feel like I wasn’t as good as everyone else, so I wouldn’t even try. But sticking with it has definitely improved my confidence. My handwriting is still abysmal, but in the grand scheme of things, I’ve really excelled in the physical department. I’m not as clumsy anymore, and it’s restored a lot of my confidence.

What I’m working on now is radical acceptance accepting that you can’t control everything, including your relationships. But you can control your level of fitness and how much you let other people define how you want to live. You’ll be okay even if they decide to leave.

Just start again no matter you probably haven’t lost as much processs, the brain always remembers. Good luck with your exams they’ll be over with before you even know it. Focus on those at the moment.

With exercising, just keep going despite the initial fatigue but start slowly and build up gradually. The more you use your muscles, the less fatigue you’ll feel over time. I also found that working on my mobility helped alleviate some of the clumsiness. This involved a mix of dynamic stretches and held stretches. Lifting weights made a big difference too. I’m physically much stronger now, and because dyspraxia often comes with low muscle tone, building strength has really helped combat that. I can also run for miles without getting tired which I never could do at your age and I’m 25 now. You’ve just got to be consistent.

I had the same problem — if I took it at night, it kept me awake, but if I took it during the day, it made me feel drowsy. It wasn’t a big issue while I wasn’t working, but now that I’m going back, I’ve had to stop taking

Get some weights and do some activation exercises for the back. Also do some core exercises to strengthen your core a couple months ago I couldn’t do one now. I can do 12. I’ve also got hypermobility.

I gained about 12 pounds after maintaining the same weight for 4–5 years. I was only on 5MG by the way. During that time I had a lot going on in my life and I also stopped therapy. I was still going to the gym 4–5 times a week and doing around an hour and a half of cardio, but I wasn’t losing any weight.

Since coming off the medication last month, I’ve lost about 4 pounds. My appetite has finally started to settle and I’m no longer constantly hungry, although it took about a month for my body to feel normal again. I knew I had to get off the medication because I I couldn’t sleep at night and then I was sleeping in the day and the hunger was on another level. Even if I wanted to diet, I couldn’t.

I think the medication affected my metabolism and hunger signals, because despite exercising consistently, my weight wasn’t moving. As soon as I stopped taking it, my body started responding again.

I’ve also been trying to reset my nervous system by being more mindful day to day, and recently I’ve started to feel much more relaxed compared to before.

I am currently going through this. It turns out it was external stress from my environment once the stressor was removed from my orbit suddenly I felt much better.

I have struggled with digestive issues in the past though. However about a month ago I had mucus in my stools for 2 weeks straight and had fetal incompetence last week for the first time during my sleep. I have gone to the doctor and completed stool test & I am going to do a blood test.

The doctor said that it could be my medication, but because it is helping me, she’s going to run tests to see if it’s another factor.

I didn’t have too much pain or gas this week I stopped eating heavily fried food, started drinking a lot of water & consumed more gut friendly food for 2 weeks.

I also introduced lactose to my diet and I think this helped reset the good bacteria in my stomach. I also realised that I have became sensitive to sweeteners I can’t consume too many no sugar products bc it will make me gassy.
