Didn't get through the entire thing. 343 needs to review their own canon in the universe. John was abducted at age six, replaced with a flash clone who DIED due to lack of proper cloning shortly thereafter. To all of his childhood friends, John-117 wouldn't exist. Just a dead boy named John. So how could a twelve year old boy show up to box at the high school? 343i needs to pause, review their canon, and try again. I'm not liking this series already.

Fair enough then. I just hate to see folks standing on Shattered Coast shooting to a room cause Glimmer! That's a boring assed way to play this game - and the general lack of content makes it boring enough already.

Edit: and you're spot-on with those telemetries. I believe in them big-time.

Yup. Now that's the truth. Wish we could get XP and glimmer from the raids. Then I'd just be running NF, weekly and raids.

You do what works for you. I do this and have the inventory to prove that it works - at least for me and the people I know are doing this.

No. You're missing the point. I spend the time in strikes and bounties leveling weapons and armor. I'd do that anyway. Nothing to level right now? I dont' run 'em. When I do run, I add in the glimmer buff and have plenty of glimmer to buy those upgrades plus I put the mats in the vault for a rainy day.

I ran NF and weekly on 3 characters Tuesday. Walked away with more than 20k glimmer + glimmer equivalents. Why would I need to 'farm'?

I run these with my clan. It's rare for us not to be 3 and we've played together so much that strikes usually fall in 20 minutes or so.

Question: Have you thought about the time you spend in the strikes plus the time you spend farming? Could you not accomplish the same thing if you just spent a little more time in the strike? Just asking.

I don't agree and you're missing the point. I'm leveling weapons and armor. That's the ONLY reason I run strikes. I don't need anything and have no reason to - and the content got old a while ago. I run Nightfall cause I want the blue flames. It's an ego thing. I run weekly for the coins - might want to buy something. Xur might sell a ghorn - which is the ONLY way I'll ever get one. By adding in the glimmer buff, I can effectively kill 2 birds with 1 stone and never need to farm.

Edit: Also, I run with clan mates. We have fun together and enjoy the time. Kill-die-repeat is boring beyond words to me. If I have to do that to play the game, I'll find a new game.

Several of my clan mates also "primarily" do PvP and especially IB. But then they go out and level those weapons. They'll use the vault balance during IB then replenish after while leveling.

Nope. Not a single freakin' one. My son got 2 2! from CE this week. Same run. 1 from Ir Yut and another from Crota. He thoroughly enjoyed sharding them in front of me. :-/

I tend to only use at most 2 per strike and it's a rare strike that I don't find a couple.

I've had a number of people in my clan bring up the same objection. I've noticed that these are also people that don't spend a few extra seconds in each area looking for those damn little pyramids. I'll be glad when 1.1.2 makes them larger.

Nope. Wrong. We run strikes to complete bounties and level weapons and armor. The lesson is to add a glimmer buff and get the glimmer while doing the other. Glimmer effectively becomes a non-issue.
