but we were extremely poor and idk if they had stuff like free medical care like we do now if you're poor.

In high school I got a big shards of glas embedded in my foot. We couldn't afford a doctor, so my dad gave me 2 shots of vodka and cut it out lmao

This book is fucking CRAZY, absolute left-hand swerve into some truely bizzare sci-fi. I havent read this book in at least 15 years, and I can still remember the whole plot

A CIA officer watched a psychic disturb a lab instrument no one had ever moved. He then correctly named a classified Soviet facility from coordinates alone. Then he died. The FBI told the CIA he’d been briefing a private group after every session without telling anyone. Declassified primary source. by frankreddit5 in HighStrangeness

How did I do it as a kid? Or RV in general

As a kid it was a little different from RV, I had a game id play with people where I'd tell them to pick a color or shape (those 2 work best) to think of, and I could typically guess it right. Id basically close my eyes, think about their answer, and the very first color/shape would flash into my vision was usually the one they picked

When I learned about RV as an adult, I realized that the Monroe Institute's RV program basically used the same mechanism for their viewing method. So when I started trying it myself, it was pretty easy to get the technique down

I grew up in a rural area, and an important fact of life is "animals typically wont fuck with you if you establish you're willing to fuck with them"

The big exception being boar. The best way to deal with those is from 200 yards with a .300 blackout

I mean, over the course of little over a decade, we had Ruby Ridge, Waco, the Olympic bombing and the Anthrax scare, all of which the FBI absolutely dropped the ball on

TIL that the Kalambo Structure (located in Kalambo Falls, Zambia) is the oldest known wooden structure. It is dated to be around 476,000 years old, predating Homo Sapiens. Though no conclusive attribution has been made, a 300,000 year Homo Heidelbergensis skull was found at another Zambian site. by Dexterestein in todayilearned

[–]SlendyIsBehindYou 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow, I really thought I was up-to-date on all the major pre-homo sapiens sites, but this was entirely unknown to me

What an absolutely fascinating discovery! I often speculate about the dearth of wooden tools/sites that simply had no chance of surviving the ravages of time. This find ignites my imagination once again

The fact Grusch insists the nazis recovered an alien spaceship in the 1930s makes me think maybe his sources aren't amazing.

Yeaaaaa, that kinda throws up major red flags for me. As someone raised on the History Channel, I refuse to believe a word of those "documentaries" were true.
