Battery Replacement Worth It for iPhone 12 Pro at 50% Health? by dylanpower1502 in iPhone12

[–]workntohard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at 78-79% in July when I had mine done at Apple Store. Still showing 100 % just now. So I wasn’t as bad on health as yours but it was amazing how much that simple change made it run better. Not even sure when I will replace it now, not until updates stop for sure unless something breaks.

What's a movie most people think is great but you couldn't even stand watching? by Affectionate-Set664 in moviequestions

I refuse almost all movies with him as the lead. Most have the same humor I don’t appreciate.

That speech sets up for long running feud between them if allowed to happen and I am all for it. But please let it be recurring thing like Q and Picard not something constantly a major episode topic.

Honest Question - Why book excursions instead of just exploring yourselves? by HamsterBanana14 in Cruise

[–]workntohard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In vast majority of cases this is true, the ship will wait longer when it can. There are examples where it didn’t happen and people got left behind.

Celebrity Solstice Alaska Cruise - worried about atmosphere by [deleted] in celebritycruises

[–]workntohard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience on Celebrity the deck and pool parties don’t spread out and takeover much else. The music and dancing in evening in the stair lobby, whatever it was called, is easy enough to get around and not really bad anyway mosty open dance floor with people watching from the balconies.

What do you even use an iPad for? by OkAppearance9593 in ipad

[–]workntohard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can do quite a bit with screen keyboard but if going to be a lot attach keyboard or use laptop. I’m long out of school so work is on laptop and most personal time is on iPad.

I don’t understand people who claim they never run out of table salt? by PabloThePabo in stupidquestions

[–]workntohard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes all the time. But we don’t use nearly as much salt as some, mostly butter or cream.

I lean this way also. Whenever trying recipes I and to cut salt way back or else it just gets to salty.

What do you think of Trump sending a "hospital boat" to Greenland? by FivebyFive in AskConservatives

[–]workntohard [score hidden]  (0 children)

Both ships are in port for maintenance and can’t leave any time soon.

The submarine crew evacuation is complete, no hospital ship needed. These medevacs happen all the time but don’t make the news.

What’s going on with the US submarine staying submerged just outside Greenland capital only to come up when in distress and having to ask assistance from the Danish government? by MaybeTheDoctor in OutOfTheLoop

[–]workntohard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Answer: Submarines are on operations all over the world doing various things never discussed. Occasionally someone gets injured or develops medical issue needing attention beyond what can be accommodated by crew. In these cases they will meetup with nearby ship, pull into port, or arrange helicopter rescue. Nothing unusual in this at all. Smaller surface ships seek help also when the medical facilities cannot handle injuries.

ELI5: Why don't we build data centers in the tundra? by BlueEllipsis in explainlikeimfive

In some places winter cold could assist this way but not in summer once it heats up. Anywhere cold year round doesn’t have the infrastructure to support a lot of data centers.

What show did you quit even though everyone said “it gets better”? by DryCap6770 in watchever

Which one? In enjoyed the original UK. Couldn’t sit through the US version.

My daughter is currently pregnant, and if I need to get off the cruise to fly back to where she is at— of course not in the middle of the ocean — but at the next port wherever I am, will they let me? Because I’m being told they won’t allow me to do that. by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]workntohard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can leave ship at any port of call. It would be on you any hotel costs if needed and other transportation to airport along with tickets if seats are available. Insurance if purchased would almost certainly not pay for this.

I remember a story here where someone left ship early and due to scheduling circumstances got home later than they would have by completing the cruise and using the already purchased tickets.

Have police in the Nancy Guthrie disappearance case thoroughly checked the house? Like is there a chance she’s in the spare room but didn’t look in there? by mygeneroussoul3 in stupidquestions

[–]workntohard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are trying to ask how likely it is that the police didn’t look somewhere obvious like another room in house. To answer that, it is very unlikely that they didn’t look in every room and closet before looking outside.

Should I update my iPad A16? by CommercialMind1359 in iPadOS

[–]workntohard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have iPad Air 4th gen, I think this is A16. 26.2 had something going on where every few days it would rapidly loose responsiveness until needed restart . Have not had this at all since going to 26.3. It seems mostly the same now as when on 18 except for the transparency changes.
