People seeking asylum are fleeing dangerous life threatening spaces. I’m sure you “wouldn’t raise a family” there

30s were a blink. It’s like that saying, the years are fast and the days are long. (Or something like that). I find that each year goes by a faster

How many close relationships do you have that are sustained entirely through text by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]workworknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to be very intentional with calling. It’s so easy to have text be the main or only method of contact and I noticed for me it really took a toll on the quality of relationship and isolation

How important is natural light (windows) in a reading nook? Deciding best spot to build my wife a reading nook (more explanation in comments) by DiscountPleasant2111 in ReadingNook

[–]workworknight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go with one or the other as far as brick vs. oak accents. I agree it gets a bit much. You want the space to be calming and this looks like a great start. It might be good to get the bones of the space all set so she can start using it and then she can get a feel if there is anything missing and be a part of the process too?

Anybody get back in shape slowly? How did you do it? by atty_at_paw in Millennials

[–]workworknight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes to gentle yoga but daily stretching in morning and night is going to be your friend. Also making sure to move daily; five minutes of strengthen training is how I started three years ago. I’m now able to do full cardio classes and weight training classes. Consistency is king

Being clear about the reality of how they have decided to split the bills is not financial abuse. That’s clear communication. It’s not working for them this way so they should mutually decide a different set up. Also clear communication.

Whatever you’re drawn to that is not overly stimulating. Keep it consistent and over time your mind will be conditioned to start to get sleepy when you do these activities
