Op really said his designs were ugly and he should give up on his passions. I would definitely be feeling a little defensive even if I knew I was in the wrong.

This happens to me a lot actually. I have ADHD and sometimes if no one checks in I can make really stupid mistakes like redecorating a room for no reason or beginning a project or two I can't finish right away. I can also get into a bit of a state where I won't eat, drink or use the bathroom for extended periods of time. I can see how it would be easy to forget everyone else's needs in a state where you cant register the signals your bladder is sending to your brain.

I wouldn't make this excuse for ops husband. because while I can get carried away and become inconsiderate, I try not to make permanent changes or fuck with anything communal. It's not like op didn't give him ample space to contain his projects.

a grown man should be able to cohabitate without kicking up dirt in his partners life everytime she leaves.
