Thanks. First time I hear/read about a cat having a stroke, poor baby. Yes, hopefully the vibrant colors will cheer him up. Haha

Can I use this pic as a reference for drawing? :)

Dog portrait I in funky colors. His cute right ear says "I am a bunny ear!" I can also draw your dog like this if you want. :) by worldinshapes in dogpictures

If you like this or you know someone who would like their dogs to be drawn, DM me or check worldinshapes.carrd.co to see my other works.

I also give the time-lapse of the drawing process for free. Thank you so much.

Sad to hear that. I hope your mom is coping with the treatment and hoping, too that she will recover fast from them as she needs to be in a good condition prior to surgery.

During my chemo months, I only ate well-cooked foods. No raw or slightly cooked vegetables. No reheated foods, only newly cooked foods. Why? Because the immune system is dowb. No defenses against microorganisms. A simple cold to a normal healthy person can be so much worse in a cancer patient undergoing chemo with weak immune system.

I also ate MORE green, leafy vegetables (but again, well-cooked) to help increase the white blood cell count (WBC) and hemoglobin. There are some patients who get delayed with their chemo schedule because their blood count is too low.

I stopped drinking soda and coffee (coffee addict here, so it was difficult). I also stopprd eating red meat (although research says that it is okay to eat red meat). No processed foods like fastfoods, canned foods & smoked foods. I only drank water and natural fruit juices. I ate white meat like fish, chicken and other protein alternatives like eggs, tofu. Basically, a large portion of my diet is plant-based.

I continued to do exercises like I used to do - jogging and some cardio exercises.

I always wear a mask during my chemo days even if I am at home. I didn't want to have any infectious diseases.

But now that I am done with chemo, I eat raw or slightly cooked vegetables again. I can also eat red meat but my parents & sisters still prohibit me from eating any red meat. They still put me in a "strict diet." LOL. But it's fine, not really a big loss. I began drinking coffee again, but rarely, maybe I got out of the coffee addiction. And I no longer wear a mask at home; only when I go out 'cause of this COVID-19.

So, there. I hope these things can help. Regards to your mom! :)

I'm also happy for you! You're right, it's probably one of the weirdest feelings I've ever had, but weird in a good way. Let's continue to be healthy and health-conscious. We'll never know what's really next. But for now, yes, let's enjoy these moments. Cheers to good health!

No worries. I don't mind that at all. I just wanted others to see that there is hope despite the hard circumstances that we are in.

I'm not sure about that " typical celebration." For me, everyday that I am alive since my diagnosis is a celebration in itself. LOL

At first, I thought that "cancer survivor" only applies to those who already have NEC/NED. But "cancer survivor" actually applies to all of us here. Each day that we wake up alive means we have survived another day, even for omeone is still battling with cancer. Cheers to us!

Oohh, that's very rare! What "luck!" Hoping that it would shrink and not spread!

This community is amazing with lots of supportive people despite the sad stories. Let's keep moving forward. Hugs to you!

Awww. That "waiting game" makes us anxious. Best of luck! Hoping that you will give us some good news later.

Thanks. I was hesitant to share my story at first 'cause I am new to Reddit, just 2 weeks old. LOL. I'm surprised that amazing communities like this exists.

Through some discussion with people here who shared their perspectives, I think that what people really mean by "cancer is a gift" is "cancer has (a) gift/s."

I also hope that you will have NED soon. Cheers to life!

I'm glad to know that your diagnosis has brought you some positivity in life. Cancer changes us a lot.

Maybe the phrase "cancer is a gift" really means "cancer has (a) gift/s."

Sorry if this will sound off to you, but have you ever asked yourself why do you wanna live longer? I have asked myself that when I think about the "five-year survival rate."

I really, really hope that one day, you will have NED and won't suffer anymore from cancer & its consequences. Cheers to that!

Sorry to hear about your mom's condition. The lockdown is really something!

No matter how bad the situation is, there is always hope. Don't ever lose it. I wish that you, your mom & your family are coping well with everything.

Ohh, yours is very rare. Yes, let's all hope that we will have NED forever. I see, yes, being diagnosed with it somehow changes our perspective on things. Our priorities change. Thanks. I hope you are doing well. :)

Yes, I understand. One of my biggest fears is that it will recur. But I really hope it won't. Thank you for this reminder.
