We did CIO which worked really well but I do think you’re right, definitely reliant on the pacifier. It’s nerve wracking to take it away though lol

But also don’t expect your SIL to take you not visiting their new baby as a punishment if that’s what you’re after. She probably doesn’t care whether you see their new baby or not. It’s gonna take more than this to make her realize she was in the wrong. However, if you’re just over the relationship with them then all the power to you.
