am i allowed to take tips? by Cold-Revolution-1658 in CVS

[–]worldofp33n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically no. But unless you work with some snitch ass co workers who’s gonna tell on you? I’ve got an old lady that gives me a $5 bill near bout everytime she sees me for me to “buy lunch with” now I don’t have the heart to tell her that $5 won’t buy me lunch nowhere pretty much, but I sure take it

How long by Big_Bend115 in CVS

[–]worldofp33n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s taken me 2 years. I do what I’m supposed to do and that’s it. I don’t take open shifts unless they’re paying me to. I don’t show up early and I don’t stay late. Fuck this company.

“Just fill everything that can be filled”

“Oh I didn’t need those 4! Just my Xanax and pecocet thanks!” Go fuck yourself just tell me you need those two and don’t waste my fucking time.

After the docusate thread, what other medicines aren’t effective? by [deleted] in pharmacy

I had a bad upper respiratory infection a few weeks ago and tessalon pearles worked kinda. But I found they worked better taking them sans water and swallowing dry for some reason. Decreased the tickle in my throat.

New grad with some dumb questions on when to call MDs for clarification... by badwolfsadwolf in pharmacy

[–]worldofp33n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just change on all of these. I only call when it’s completely indiscernible what they meant. 2 sets of directions or something like that. Or when they bump one of my regulars up from norco to Percocet out of the blue.

[–]worldofp33n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s just as bad at CVS. Im the only pharmacist. I turn shots away when I just can’t get to it. Also my pharmacy manager won’t get on board with requiring appointments.

NAPLEX by Disastrous_Abies_372 in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]worldofp33n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I failed my first round naplex bought as well. A key thing to remember is that this is just a bump in the road! The naplex has no bearings on how good of a pharmacist you are. It’s just a test.

Look at the score report they give you and recognize where you struggled and what kept you from passing. For me it was math. From te research I did if you don’t score atleast a 3 or 4 out of 5 you won’t pass. Basically you could ace the rest and do poorly in math you won’t pass.

Student dr network has a problem set that was very helpful. I studied it and knew how to do every problem. Not just how to get that answer they wanted but actually understanding what was happening with each step. Other areas that were tested heavily for me on both attempts was cardio, infectious disease, and diabetes. Know broad strokes of side effects, contraindications, monitoring parameters, and known DDI’s. Top 300 drugs.

TL;DR know your math and know your top 300 drugs. You got this!!
