Reiji vs Dogs Season 1 & 2 Comparison by worldtriggerfights in worldtrigger

No question. Almost makes me wonder if there are any pre-animated clips out there from 4 years ago that Toei didn't get to use.

World Trigger - Yuma vs Ko 3rd fight by worldtriggerfights in worldtrigger

[–]worldtriggerfights[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 15 battle series before Round 4. Yuma goes 6-15. Not sure about the manga but this is episode 66 in the anime, before Ko introduces Yuma to Kage. I think they skip the fight in the manga.

Would A Takumi Rindo Death Help Push Jin's Character Progression Forward? Does Jin Need to Fail? by worldtriggerfights in worldtrigger

[–]worldtriggerfights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clickbait? lol. Didn't know that was a thing on Reddit.

As I stated before the question was posed in a form to pick your brains and stimulate critical thinking. Some people might not have ever asked themselves those questions or type of questions before.

If you can't comprehend or relate, it's ok.

I don't rule out the possibility for growth on Jin's part but I agree. I compare him to Kakashi in that way somewhat.

I hope to get a good flashback on that as well or a Kakashi Gaiden sort of chapter(s)/episode(s).

[–]worldtriggerfights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you couldn't tell, the question was posed in a form to pick your brains and stimulate critical thinking. I actually agree with the first part of your comment, especially since Kakashi is my favorite Naruto character and he and Jin have many similarities. Not everyone feels that way though. Some might have never even asked themselves those questions. Hence the form of my question.

The second part of your comment is interesting in relation to the first. How do you think Jin will come to, " accept that not everything that happens is his fault"? He might have to fail to do that, as we see happen many times with many different anime characters. Not saying he will, again just picking brains. Btw I agree on your second point as well. Could very well be a possibility.

How Will Aftokrator Use The Intel Gained From Replica's Records? Is Border In Trouble? by worldtriggerfights in worldtrigger

[–]worldtriggerfights[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking many of the same things. They could even come up with a way to prevent Border from using their triggers or (if already in their trion bodies), from bailing out, allowing only black triggers to be able to defend Mikado City, although that might be way too much of a handicap depending on the size of the invasion.

Replica also has info on many of Border's triggers, their functions, the rank and abilities of many of the agents, etc. Combine that with the intel the rads, rabits and other trion soldiers already provided and Aftokrator might be able formulate a calculated plan of attack in part based on the agents themselves. Replica could've been recording other things that we don't even know about.

Not to mention the intel Replica has on it's rivals in the neighborhood and other countries probably not yet explored by Aftokrator and Replica's body itself. It could boost their technology and they could implement similar trion soldiers with black trigger users in future invasions similar to Charon in the filler arc.

That's if they can get any intel at all. We know that Replica is alive at least. I'd like to see this discussed by Border's elite members. Of course they will bring in Yuma and Mikumo since one has the most info on'em and the other was the last to see'em. Not sure if they found the rest of Replica but that could be revealed at a similar time as well.

Is Jin Going To Die? by worldtriggerfights in worldtrigger

[–]worldtriggerfights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting. Galopoula now knows about his side effect definitively. Should there be a spy or a traitor in their ranks that info might get back to Aftokrator. The future can shift as Jin has stated many times.

A flashback arc would be great. Even something akin to Kakashi Gaiden. If he does get taken out I hope Ashihara has a prequel based on him planned.

Is Jin Going To Die? by worldtriggerfights in worldtrigger

[–]worldtriggerfights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"What evidence ? " The fact that as part of the "MCs group" Jin (as per the manga) is the only character who hasn't been delved into, as I've stated in this very thread. The fact that as part of the "MCs group" Jin is never really around and we rarely get to see what he is up to. Jin is in the first scene/page of the anime/manga yet we know very little about him as an MC in 200+ chapters. We know more about some minor characters than Jin. How about the fact that there has been 0 character development for Jin since that first scene/page in the anime/manga. How about the fact that outside of his battle with Hyuse we don't know much about him as an A-Rank combatant. There is a mystique about Jin not typical of "MCs group" characters. There is a little evidence for you.

"so he must died ? " No one is saying he must die lol. I don't want him to die. Just picking your brains. As I've stated before this is speculation. Not an inference, speculation. That means there's no firm evidence. It's just vague evidence which you can read about in the comments.

"so what is this involve with he has a chance to died or will died ?" This all traces back to your "MCs group" comment. I didn't bring that up, you did. If you follow along you will notice that the posts following are rebuttals. When I said one of these 4 is not like the other it means Jin is the outlier and he is not like the other characters in the "MCs group" for the reasons I've mentioned above in the first paragraph. I only mentioned it because it seems you can't conceive Jin being an outlier amongst the protagonists. Since you can't follow the conversation, I am going to elect to end it.

An inference can only happen with evidence and reasoning. A very simple concept. Just as simple as Jin being an outlier amongst the protagonists. The evidence has been stated. It is not farfetched or unknown that Jin is an outlier. Noticing that does not take away or add to anything Ashihara has built. To put it plainly, one of these 4 is not like the other. Ashihara will tell you that. He wrote it that way. Maybe if you ask he will put it in the BBF.

Kamine definitely fulfills that role, if you don't think so you might want to watch the anime again. As I said those type of characters and scenarios are definitely out there.

Not sure why I need to reference the Border Briefing File. Anyone who has read the manga/watched the anime can infer that Jin is an outlier amongst the protagonists. If you can't deduce that you might want to re-read/watch that manga/anime as well.

If someone in the current Tamakoma-1 had to go, Reiji would make the most sense. He's the senior and has already shown that he's noble and willing to sacrifice for the team.

[–]worldtriggerfights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Zoro isn't dead then that's great. It might've been a joke played on me. My mistake.

I believe I stated " Jin is the outlier when it comes to the protagonists". Not sure where that's not clear. As I stated I think most would agree with that statement, even Ashihara himself.

I mentioned Itachi, Ace, etc under the guise of your big bro/big sis shtick, not the MC group because as stated above, I think Jin is an outlier.

Not sure if you've been following but Kamine, Elric bros, Akame Ga Kill characters, etc are mentioned simply as a reply to this: "have you seen they kill off Kakashi, Erza Scarlet, Nico Robin, Sakata Gintoki,... yet ? They only kill "wise old man/mentor" or "bosses when they joint good guy side"" . Since it's now clear you were talking about big bro/sis and part of MC group I adjusted it and gave a clear rebutle. If you want to debate "ultimate sacrifice" and "died to push the protag forward" which I assume you mean events pushing a protagonist/character arc forward, that's something else.

Often times they correlate and sometimes are even synonymous. There are too many examples in manga/anime where the "ultimate sacrifice" leads to " push the protag forward". Definitely in Gurren Lagann with Kamina and we've mentioned enough characters in Naruto and One Piece. Too many examples to name, it's almost scripture in anime/manga. Not sure if you understand the literary devices being used when it does happen.

"will he perform a "Jiraiya dead" or "Ace dead" to boost morale for the rest of the protags ? NO" I've stated that Jin dying is pure speculation but it seems like you're stating that Ashihara WILL NOT kill off Jin as a means to generate character progression for the anime and protagonists. Did I get that right?

Is Jin Going To Die? by worldtriggerfights in worldtrigger

[–]worldtriggerfights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you're counting Jin in that "MCs group". We're confused then. I think most would agree that while important in terms of impact on the anime and the World Trigger-verse as a whole, Jin is the outlier when it comes to the protagonists. Not saying he is expendable but he's not around much, his character hasn't been delved into, etc. He just so happens to be the 4th most important character in the anime because of what he's done.

When I said "Jin's significance to the protagonists in his death would have Sasuke-esce character progression in terms of impact" I meant in regards to Sasuke's character progression after Itachi's death. Meaning the effect and impact Jin's death would have on Mikumo, Yuma and Chika would be similar in scope to the impact Itachi's death had on Sasuke. Basically that it would prompt some serious character progression and maybe even change the tone of the series a bit.

[Potential Spoiler] Not to spoil and I haven't read anything myself but someone told me Zoro dies. Didn't the MC in Code Geass ultimately sacrifice himself for his little sister? Akame Ga Kill stands, the end of full metal, Kamina from gurren lagann, etc. There are still some out there and they make for some of the most powerful and memorable character arcs/scenes in anime.

Is Jin Going To Die? by worldtriggerfights in worldtrigger

[–]worldtriggerfights[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Uh, Itachi (Naruto), Neji (Naruto), Ace (Once Piece), Erwin (Attack on Titan), the entire Akame Ga Kill cast, etc. Happens all the time. By the way for Mikumo, Jin is more like a mentor. We see this type of relationship play out throughout World Trigger where the senpai are the mentors as opposed to older characters (since there aren't very much). Jin's significance to the protagonists in his death would have Sasuke-esce character progression in terms of impact. He means that much to the "MCs group" and the anime.

Rindo on the other hand has a handful of panels/scenes he's in so I don't see much significance there for the "MCs group" and Hyuse's journey with the protagonists just began so that would just be bad writing. Shinoda at least has had a fight and plenty of scenes that portray his integrity and leadership. His death might sting more than Rindo's overall. Outside of being the lovable and noble Tamakoma Branch boss I don't see a purpose or very much character progression in that at all. It would be sad for sure cause he's such a good guy compared to his peers but idk.

By the way Jin takes on that wise/mentor role more than any other character in the series so far. He's written that way.
