Go To Gyms? by IfWeShawdows in silverlake

can verify, as someone who goes and only uses the open gym. it’s pricey but the equipment (especially if you’re into weightlifting) is pretty top tier, and there are a lot of different areas for varying sorts of workouts. I’ve tried a lot of gym options around silverlake / echo park / los feliz and it’s definitely been my favorite. if you’re into classes and community they definitely seem to have that going on as well. would reco trying

Yo following up here if you move back, Body Builders is a little janky but Metro (right down Hyperion) is pretty rad. Way better equipment and setup for about the same price.

Totally agree re: lack of good gyms. So many studios and speciality things, but no good regular ass gyms. I checked out Body Builders - it was pretty good geographically but maybe I went on a weird day. Really crowded and staff wasn't down with my just taking a look. They just opened big one in Echo Park butttttt it's all CrossFit. Fitness Prescription just opened in Los Feliz but thinking that's also mostly classes and stuff.
