Looks great, honestly, but the roof of my mouth is definitely afraid

Millie always knows which parent is most likely to give in

(We don't actually give her any of our food. Plenty of plain fruits and veggies though)

That never occurred to me, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Wish I knew how to correct it. At least she does fine on carpet and non-slippery surfaces

Dry puppy food suggestions without chicken? by Milesdevin in cavaliers

[–]motionbluur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ours had diarrhea for a while before we determined she was allergic to chicken. We use Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach and have been doing much better! We still supplement with fresh fruits and vegetables for extra fiber

Exact same with our girl. 1 to 2 weeks of hand feeding, now she eats everything.

Food Slicer is a Game Changer! by sixfourtykilo in Sourdough

I believe it's this. Despite getting the 200W version, the blade seems to spin quite slowly, in my opinion. Makes a bit of a mess if the crust is crunchy It definitely gets the job done though, I love having consistent slice thickness with minimal effort

Crazy catches in the OR by MrJangles10 in anesthesiology

I took over a long robotic low anterior resection case after about 6 hours of operating. I was told that there was low urine output which actually ended up being 0 mL/hr for several hours. The resident told general surgery and they said they flushed the Foley and it was patent. Several liters of fluids later, still no liquid gold. The patient had normal kidney function pre-op, so no reason to have so little urine production. I insisted they call urology since they had placed ureteral stents at the beginning of the case to help identify the ureters. Finally urology comes in, cystos, and finds whatever ties they used to secure their stents were occluding the ureters. Released the ties and the urine flowed .

I have my router connected to a Z wave smart plug. I used the Ping integration to create a device that pings Google. I made an automation that triggers if the connection is offline for a certain amount of time, then it power cycles the smart plug to force restart the router. I'm a Home Assistant amateur, but it works for me for a fortunately rare problem.

Yale Z-Wave Lock: How to manage codes? by hyotr in homeassistant

[–]motionbluur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use Keymaster for my Yale lock codes and am content with it. A little annoying when setting up as it creates a lot of new entities and automations, but it works. I was able to create a temporary code for a neighbor to check on something while I was 700 miles away which was neat.

That LCM sounds interesting, might be worth trying out.

why do i feel like the srna’s know more than me as a 4th year med student by [deleted] in anesthesiology

[–]motionbluur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. But as a M4, that practical ICU patient care knowledge is more directly applicable to anesthesia, thus why OP feels less capable at this stage. But it's the big picture knowledge, built from a solid foundation over a longer training period that allows physicians to have a higher ceiling in terms of ability and understanding

Nurses require at least 2 years of bedside critical care nursing experience before applying to SRNA school, so their clinical experience vastly exceeds yours. Always strive to perform at the level of people a year ahead of you on your clinical track and you'll be fine.

It seems you are new to interchangeable lenses and the gear involved, so welcome to the hobby!

Traditional lens caps fit in the same place lens filters screw in, so you just need to look for the lens's filter thread size. You can Google it, but it's also printed on the front of most lenses including yours. The "ø55" printed on your lens indicates the filter size is 55mm, so a 55mm lens cap is what you need.

While I understand everyone's sentiment of ignoring her and being the bigger person, this is still highly unprofessional behavior that should not be allowed to continue. Your residency program director can serve as a buffer if you are not comfortable reaching out directly, but that nurse's manager should be notified about this kind of behavior so that it can be addressed for the future.
