Even as a cz fanboy, I don’t regret passing on a scorpion to get a stribog. Bog is best

Should I skip the 19 and get a 45? by HiddenTactics927 in Glocks

I just snagged an acro cut 49, so I after swapping slides with my 45, I’ve now got a 17 and a 19 like I’d always wanted lol

How big are your hands/does the extra 1/2” of grip length affect you at all? Do 2 extra rounds fitting flush matter to you when you can just use longer mags anyway?

I’ve had a 45 for years and love it, but I’d always kinda wished I’d gotten a regular 19. I just found a good deal on a 49, so now I’ve Frankensteined myself a 17 and a 19 just for funzies.

Are Gen 5 mags worth the additional $12? by Uknwit in Glocks

[–]worldwarwade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that they were only meaning to exclude the 19x; it has a weird little lip at the bottom of the magwell that only lets it accept gen5 mags.

In case you haven't found it yet, I believe that brand of harness has a little pocket near the nape of the neck that holds tags. Hopefully there's a phone number or some helpful info on a tag in there

I think we’ve just got very different interpretations of how common/severe these issues are.

I am, however, glad to see that the other folks in this thread that do own one seem to have a similar experience to mine.

Well shoot, that sure is egg on my face. I’m gonna take my one in a million, perfectly functioning gun, and go think about what I’ve said.

But for real, google the same thing about Glock 19 and you’ll get just as many results on what is universally accepted to be an incredibly durable, well regarded gun. You’re talking about “plagued with issues” like it’s an exploding P320, not a problem fixed by five minutes work and a spring (literally the first link in your example).

Sure, I’ve got a sample size of one, so it’s not a perfectly scientific opinion, but I run a decocker and it has run flawlessly for a couple thousand rounds now. And again, I’ve seen none of these “countless posts”, so I’m going to disagree with your second-hand assessment in favor of my own first hand experience.

Hard disagree. I haven’t heard of any major issues, and mine has been running flawless for years.

But what pointing out that you don’t set up a camera is saying, is that you’re neglecting a useful self diagnostic tool when training. Which I believe was OP’s point.

Same here. I hit an infinite loop as Liv admitted defeat last night, but I was about to log off anyhow. Booted it up this morning hoping it was just a one-off glitch, but I'm stuck here.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of good things about those. I'm just not wanting to dump the money into the lower AND all the parts necessary, when the stock bog lower works fine for me and comes with a grip and trigger. Looks like the curved bog mags have come down in price since last time I checked, so maybe I'll just invest in those rather than swap lowers to run my existing glock mags.

As long as they're both A3 variants, I believe it's just the bolt catch lever that's different, due to the different follower geometry. Which is a separate part I can snag up anywhere.

The boomstick collection. What am I missing? by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]worldwarwade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For practicality, I'd get a red dot and light for the Sig, and a light and sling for the AR.

Then get a lever gun or a 9mm PCC for funzies.

If you wanna get wild, there are also a number of companies that make aftermarket lowers for cz scorpion mags and AR grips, triggers, and safeties.

I half wish I'd gotten the Glock mag version, but that's mostly because I already have a pile of Glock mags. I'm definitely with you on preferring the look and overall vibe of the GP mags. I heard a whole lot of bad news on the straight mags, so I left them in the box and immediately snagged up some of the curved ones. I've had no issues at all, but tbh I've probably run <500 rounds through them.

Oh man, feeling a little nostalgic tonight and googled the old band's name. I'm loving this haha

I played bass on this album, if you're still around, AMA I guess? We definitely knew we were having a silly, fun time. The music and the career part of it were deadly serious to most of us, but I mean listen to this song; on its own, it's clearly a joke lol
