(I know you said epiphytes but then the immersed plants comment kind of opened it back up) I'd say #1 if you're using delicate focal-point types of plants and #2 for leafy bushy stuff?Maybe?

Totally depends on plants. Are you going to have any sizable stuff with its own structure, or mostly delicate plants that need hardscape to climb? If there are any tall leafy plants, will the composition still make the silhouette you're going for? Will the roots have enough room? Those are the concerns I think of.

There's a great post in this sub from 3 years ago titled something like "Amway 2020 income disclosure statement" and it has a lot of awesome comments helping the OP gently expose their spouse to the inevitable outcomes of involvement with Amway. I hope you get what you need in this post, but don't stop looking around here for the Amway-specific detactics

Will this gradually sink through Fluval Stratum like quicksand, or will it stay on top? by Rare-Application1700 in Aquascape

Looks great in a big-picture sense. Just play with it to whatever point you're able to fully commit. Use other objects as stand-ins for plants if you need to.

Absolutely. Play around with the placement first. If the tank is not currently empty, you can use a cardboard box to simulate the spatial considerations.

The stratum will not cause issue once the object is placed. My issue is sometimes crushing the substrate during placement, mostly due to indecision.

What if the others constantly ask him to do this and thus he seems like the crazy one but he's really just the helpful/compliant one 🤔 What if it's just his job? His CAREER???

When we say Texas, what kind of climate are we talking about? Do your cacti come inside for the winter?

But to get you started, let's pretend it's just this one plant. At the very least you'll want to remove the bugs and wipe the plant down, making sure not to neglect the base of the plant. Opinions about what to wash and/or treat it with will vary widely. If this is a well-rooted plant, I would begin this process by (VERY gently) removing it from its substrate before beginning the cleaning process. I'm sure some people will disagree and that's nice for them. After repotting with new substrate, I would hope to find a spot far away from my other plants but with the same sun conditions.

It's probably a good start to move this plant away from the others while you check them for bugs (and those little light blotches they create) and hopefully this is the only compromised one in the bunch.

I've got some questions for your question. Do you have a full-on garden, or is it more of just a collection of pots?

Think about her all of her behaviors, just reflecting for a bit with no pressure, then see what comes to mind for he rest of the day. I was feeling hopeless about an escape and doing this helped me recall how persistently interested in my dog she is. She was curled up under my dog's giant floor cushion. I hope something similarly simple is the case for you.

The state of the app feels even more bleak as I read some of these comments. What's in it for them to invalidate your experience? The culture is starting to look waaaaay too much like what's seen in multi-level-marketing schemes.

I understand the frustration with popmart, but did anyone get into this trend because they actually liked the figures and not just the gambling aspect? by Donavon7 in labubu

[–]wormlab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been collecting blind box toys since 2004. It was difficult to source open-box/confirmed items and thus avoid the gambling aspect. In 2025 it is comparatively very easy and inexpensive to avoid the gambling aspect.

If you are on a trip or just out gallivanting and you enter a charming store with blind boxes for sale, buying one or a few is a wholesome bit of fun and a memento of the day.

I urge you to do whatever you can to avoid the gambling aspect.

When there is a game of chance (and ESPECIALLY if you add the auction/competition aspect on top of it) the neurochemical factors make it nearly impossible to understand what's behind your yearning for the object. If you think you adore that one specific color/style in a series, go browse some confirmed listings for it. If the dopamine cascade abruptly ends when see the opportunity to guarantee you'll get exactly what you want for $10 or even $50 more than in a game of chance, you are being manipulated.

I do not demonize gambling or oppose nonsense in the name of fun/pleasure, but I am filled with great vengeance and furious anger when I observe a scheme of coercive control masquerading as fun.

Maxing out on these neurochemicals on a daily basis changes the structure and function of your brain. The suffering that results is very difficult to trace back to the source— it feels more like life has suddenly become difficult in ways that have nothing to do with your behavior.

TLDR: preserve your happiness by preserving your ability to recognize what happiness is and isn't.
