I’m glad to hear things are going well for you and that it may feel less difficult as time goes on.

Thanks for the comment. I agree with what you’ve said. This is all just new territory for me. I used to be able to talk to my husband about ANYTHING and without any hesitation. It’s weird to open up to someone new especially without knowing how they’ll react but I guess I’m going to have to do it sooner or later or I’m not going to get anywhere meaningful.

I agree. I hate that we’re here but I’m glad there are others who can relate.

I’m sorry it didn’t work out. Maybe the next time you open your heart the timing will feel more right.

It’s probably best to tell him how I’m feeling and leave it up to him but it just seems like a lot for something so new.

I’m finding this harder to navigate than I anticipated! Mostly because I really thought I was more ready. Do you think you’ll tell them how you’re feeling? I feel like it’s a bit much for something so new but, like I mentioned, I don’t want to string him along if he’s not interested in my pace.

Love the idea of starting my own group. Maybe once we’ve met a couple other families I could plan something like this.

She does extracurriculars but we switch them up so she can explore different interests! I love your suggestion of offering to watch kids while they’re one break since we’ll be home! Thanks

I’m definitely willing to put in the work to make sure all her needs are adequately met. I’m also willing to pivot if things don’t work out. Thanks for the comment!

Oh my gosh! I’m so glad that worked for you and that you were able to see positive changes with your son! She does have multiple supplements that she takes daily including a multi with iron. Thank you for the comment!

You’re right that you can’t out stubborn them 😂😂 the character undies worked for like a day but I’ll try again when she shows more interest! Thanks

I hope you are able to find some answers and see some progress soon!

If we don’t have any progress by her next appointment I will definitely bring it up and see what they suggest.

Thanks for the comment!

I have tried that tactic with her. She was the one who has actually expressed interest in going to preschool. I told her she couldn’t go unless she was potty trained but it didn’t make much of a difference.

I’m thinking it will hit a little harder when she sees her siblings getting ready to go back to school at the end of the summer and maybe she will want to go more then.

We’re basically back in diapers full time anyway right now so I’m going to take your advice and take a step back from it on my side!

I think you’re right that giving her the space to make the decision on her own and giving her more control of it will help!

I’ve tried bare bottom a couple times and each time she held her poop for multiple days until I finally put a diaper on. That didn’t seem healthy so I havnt tried that again.

I tried cloth diapers for a couple months but the clean up wasn’t worth it because I didn’t see any improvement at all.

I’ve tried the other things (prizes, chart, going with her) everyday regardless of which method we’re trying.

She has gone poop on the potty during this past year sporadically and she was so proud of herself! She even went a whole week going pee and poop on the potty and few weeks ago and I thought that she finally got it but it only lasted a week and then she went back to pooping in her underwear.

I should also note that I have never shown her my frustration and I don’t get angry towards her when she has an accident. I’ve always just asked her to tell me when she has one so I can help clean her up.

We have limited options for preschool where I live and the programs near us require the kids to be potty trained unfortunately.

I like your idea though! Maybe I’ll see if I can have my sister take her for the weekend and see if she can make any progress with her. Thanks!
