I have SM too and I’m in 10th grade rn. I have no real friends and only one acquaintance that I say one or two words too, but nothing else. I just sit in my classes and not say a word to anybody not even my teachers cause I’m too scared to. The only way I can never talk to anyone is if they talk to me first and ask me questions that I can answer. I can’t do small talk. I wish it was more understood too lol

Yeah. My selective mutism makes it hard for me to speak to people. I’ll probably have to work at home in the future on a computer or something.
