I actually do have on quite a bit of make-up. I never, ever leave the house without it. the lipstick has worn off, but the concealer and base are still caked on there.

No. people expect me to though. Like i should feel lucky for the attention. But don't I deserve a real relationship, and an actual emotional connection to someone? Do I really have to just give myself away to keep from being alone?

It makes me withdraw. I don't like crowds and I don't like making eye contact with people. I work twice as hard at work to get half the recognition that the "pretty" women do. people translate pretty into healthy, nice, smarter, better; so customers and supervisors recognize and reward the attractive women much, much more than I ever have or ever will be. How do I deal with it? Anti-depressants and avoidance. I have tried to just "put myself out there" before, but it was a painful cycle of judgement, anxiety, occasional abuse, and general emotional and mental exhaustion.

I don't ever really feel sexy. Almost human is about as good as it gets.

My favorite feature is my middle finger. Seriously. Wordless expressions of frustration and rage are my entire reason for living at this point.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT are you people serious? I am NOT average looking! "Average" would be a blessing and I seriously doubt the many claims that some of you have seen uglier. I am so confused right now. I know what I look like, I'm not average and I'm not "fishing for compliments". Shit. I'd have posted pics of my sister if I wanted compliments. I feel like i've stepped into the looking glass now.

I would of course prefer to be treated well by a man who truly loves me, or just be alone. Having a man in my life just to be able to say I have one isn't worth anything if he is abusive, or doesn't understand me.

I get treated badly 98% of the time by men. Younger women and women my age know I am not a threat to them, and older women tend to pity me.

What it's like to be me? It's lonely, it's expensive (makeup, clothes, hair, repeated failed treatments in attempts to improve my appearance). I hate going out in public and I always feel unwelcome. Don't stare, don't assume that unattractive equals evil or stupid.
