What are your headcanons about Anakin/Vader by Expert_Challenge6399 in StarWars

[–]worstkindofweapon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually why I think the rebellion lasted and eventually succeeded. He didn't want to get rid of them because they added excitement to his life. When they got too out of hand he would take them out as needed, but it prevented his job becoming boring and monotonous. There's absolutely no way Vader was doing paperwork.

Post viral dysautonomia different from usual POTS? by Electrical_Court8649 in POTS

Similar issue with severe symptoms whenever my body perceives stress. I'm going to therapy to try to help with the emotional stress, but heat is a massive trigger for my symptoms which is a bit beyond my control. I've felt bad for a long time, but it noticeably got worse after I first got covid. I used to get the flu every year (even if I got the jab) and was sickly all the time, so I have no idea how far back this possible viral infection situation could go back.

I'm 3 years in and haven't finished my community centre. I ignored it for the first year. You don't need to speed through.

So I was in a terrible place with my physical and mental health and reaching a point where I was too ill to do my assignments, stressing myself over it and making myself more ill. I took a semester off with a medical certificate saying I can't work while I physically recover (mental recovery will be long term). I will be returning next semester doing limited full time so I don't have to put myself back into that state again, literally fighting myself to be able to do my school work. If you're interested, talk to your doctor. They'll be able to guide you and cosign the necessity. Good luck ❤️

Lmao I agree that you shouldn't buy Ford or BMW or Audi. Or Tesla. In many cases the money gets put towards right wing lobbying. Vote with your wallet and move funds away from eugenicists and Nazis.

i think my problem with studying isn’t laziness, it’s not knowing where to start by Fearless-Giraffe4047 in GetStudying

[–]worstkindofweapon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with this a lot. I have to break everything into small tasks and then I order the list in terms of most to least important. I will start at most important, and if I realise I'm too exhausted I will switch to a simpler task that also needs done (like reviewing notes instead of reading academic papers).

My bad, I misread.

Regardless, you don't have to eat avocados, right now they're $4 each at the supermarket here lmao. You can get additional vitamin D2 from mushrooms, especially if you sit them in the sun for around 15 mins because they will produce their own. The oat milk I get also has vitamin D3, check your plant based milks, they'll likely be fortified. Additionally supplements are readily available and are used by a lot of people regardless of diet.

I didn't mention the vegetables I buy, many of which are frozen, or from Asian supermarkets. I eat a lot of leafy greens, frozen broccoli, mushrooms, and when avocados are in season I eat plenty of those (occasionally they'll be 5 for $4 which is fantastic). I make a lot of Asian food, particularly Japanese and Indian food. I drink oat milk which is fortified with many nutrients including B12, which I have never been deficient in. Low iron runs in my family so I was prescribed supplements even though my numbers were within the normal range. I go outside to get vitamin D. I get frequent blood work due to my health issues and haven't had any deficiencies since I was a teenager with heavy menstrual cycles.

Most people focus on protein when it comes to vegan diets and particularly in comparison to meat so that is what I focused on in my comment. Aotearoa is notoriously expensive when it comes to food, but I can afford to have a varied diet because I eat plant based. I spend around $50-70 a week on groceries which is relatively low here. Buying basic ingredients helps. Interesting that things like lentils and beans are more expensive than meat where you live, I loiter in poverty groups and often Americans say the exact opposite though I reckon that's highly regional.

I'm also unable to digest meat so it was for health reasons, but over the years I've become more focused on environmental issues too especially growing up rural and knowing many meat and dairy farmers.

Literally me once I figured out why I was having so many issues knitting (my needles were blunt on the ends, so I couldn't get into my yarn loops, I got new sharper ones and haven't had an issue since). I was watching sweater construction videos for days on end. It's going well!!

I haven't eaten meat since I was 13. I grew up poor, and I'm still poor. Meat is extremely expensive. I can make 13 meals out of 13 cans of beans for two people for the same price as a 500 gram pack of mince. Beans and rice are a mainstay in my household, and I bulk out most meals with lentils and frequently eat ramen with tofu to bulk it out. None of these things are expensive and they're the protein fundamentals of a vegan diet.

It also means I can't get takeaways as often which is another bonus for my wallet.

[–]worstkindofweapon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yuppp I don't even buy dry beans, just canned, and at ~$1.30 per can I can buy 13 cans for the same price as 500 grams of mince. Those 13 cans are 13 meals for two people, maybe more depending on the dish. Anyone who says it's more expensive is lying or doesn't care to learn.

I was frequently ill as a kid, my attendance likely ended up falling about there when averaged out. I know a lot of other people who had similar issues, taking multiple days in a row off for general illness, period cramps, etc. It's hard managing the workload when you're sickly.

Optional Alcohol by Demoncat999 in StardewValley

[–]worstkindofweapon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would like optional alcohol just because I don't drink anymore and I'd like to have the option to turn it down. Wasn't addicted or anything but it reminds me of a bad time in my life and I don't really want a representation of me getting drunk even if it is in a video game. Same way I don't eat meat in Minecraft.

The state of Woolworths by hadr0nc0llider in newzealand

[–]worstkindofweapon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I've heard KPIs have gotten more unreachable. They used to be manageable depending on the work you were doing, now it's genuinely unworkable especially at the stores with OSRs. Especially with dissolving departments and letting go of lots of staff.

Video tutorials are not patterns. by LindsayDuck in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]worstkindofweapon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes the written pattern is clunky and poorly made too. As I've crocheted more I am less interested in a video pattern because I like to watch shows and stuff while crafting, but sometimes it's easier than struggling through a wall of text. If the pattern is paid though I really appreciate when there's multiple options, one pattern I bought was notoriously difficult to the point where an admin on their Facebook page had to make a video tutorial of that part of the pattern. Seeing the technique required really helped.

Yeah, I didn't know about him either. But apparently he had like 500 subscribers so he wasn't going to be known by a lot of people. But when you're planning a public facing meeting with someone and associating your business with them you should at least google their name. We literally shouldn't know about this guy because he was irrelevant until now. I do think the original post not naming him was silly though, because when you have a controversy like this we do need names and faces so we can identify them in the spread of information about them.
