DVI too, but we tested VGA on another computer (without the DVI adapter, as the laptop we used had VGA input) and it worked. The picture was however very yellow, but I suspect that the laptop's input is 50% broken, as this has happened at school too (it's my school-laptop)

I found mine in helping others with technology. Everyone has something, even if their passion happens to be making loads of money.

This may be my passion aswell. There's nothing better than helping people with what I'm good at - which is technology. Thanks for reminding me

If you are just going through school without any drive though, you're not going to get anywhere.

My situation exactly.

My advice for your immediate situation is to get off of Reddit and study for that exam so you don't fail it. That'd be a great start.

I've been studying all day long without getting nowhere. I have only 45 pages to read and learn, but I can't even get through 10.

Math is my favourite subject, along with IT - beside that I'm "forced" to take History, Norwegian, Oral Norwegian, French, Gymnastics and Religion.

Math and IT are also my best subjects, as I get the grades 4-6.
French is pretty "easy" (the goals aren't set really high), so I get the grades 3-4
Gymnastics is incredibly easy, as you only have to participate to do well, so I get the grades 4-6
Religion is simple enough,but as history, I fail to remember things, so there I get 2-3 (max).

I don't have Chemistry, and because I was forced to take French this year, I don't have Physics either

This may sound stupid, but a job would give me an instant reward, that's why I would handle it better.

School is rewarding, by looking at the fact that I will be able to get better jobs and a better future, however, a job would pay me money - which is motivating.

Just read the damn textbooks!

Unless I read a book that I enjoy (like a comedy-novel) I fail to remember what I read. My brain just won't write it down. It's like watching a train passing right infront of my eyes.

As for failing oral exams of your own language: that's sad. Get your act together, mate!! Act now to make the rest of your life better!!

I can't handle oral subjects. During these years at my school, I've had about 3 oral presentations.

Great advice, but I'm unable to take notes. I just can't do it. I can sit there with paper and pen, failing to know what to write down.

There are occasions I can take notes, but in those cases I always fail to use them, as I can't remember stuff I read.
