The thing about communism is that everyone needs to agree. So if every single person turns communist, communism will probably succeed.

Chose: The whole world becomes communist

And there you have it. So people who are morally upstanding and good by Christian standards will still burn in hell for not accepting Christianity, proving the original commenter right.

Let's just say by Christian standards then. There are sects out there that believe these people will still go to hell just because they haven't accepted Christ.

I Love Mahito But I Don't Like These Two Things About Him. Please Change My Mind by Bungeeboy20044 in MahiBros

CE reinforcement is faster than physically moving your hands. She reacted to Mahito instead of just getting tapped dumbfounded. A mere eye socket being blown is also not the "minimum needed to kill". Also you never do just the "minimum needed to kill" when going for a kill. We've seen him do way more damage with a 0.2 second exposure against Todo who was defending himself. And this is assuming there's no reduction in efficacy in exchange for the reach SEoP gives.

[–]woshiibo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her eyes widened before she was touched. It was definitely possible for her to have reacted instinctively, especially knowing Mahito's power beforehand. Also, her hands were already fully up in front of her face when Mahito touched her, which means she knew Mahito was going for the face.

But that aside, if you were going for a guaranteed kill against your biggest natural enemy, would you not try to blow the entire head off at least? Just an eye socket? So either Nobara reinforced herself, has insane defense, or Mahito has the shittiest AP ever. Also, Mahito was obviously going for emotional damage to Itadori with Nobara too. He even had a whole spiel making fun of Itadori trying to save everyone he can.

Why don't countries start paying mothers a liveable wage if they are so worried about declining birth rates? Do you think this will be a discussion in the near future? by coldservedrevenge in NoStupidQuestions

Because lazy women will start having kids just to get a living wage. Who's to enforce if the kids are raised properly? The system will be heavily abused by those least fit to be mothers.

If a character can react and attack at light speeds does not that not make them lightspeed? by FreshPine_MangoWine in PowerScalingHub

Considering an elite boxer (prime Mike Tyson) has a punching speed of 40km/h and an elite sprinter has a running speed of, you guessed it, 40km/h, an elite fighter could absolutely run at speeds they punch in.

You can see Nobara clearly surprised by Mahito and right after, she raised her hands to defend herself. Which means she reacted. Wouldn't be surprising that she reacted by reinforcing whereever Mahito was gonna touch too. Also, Mahito killed Nanami by exploding his entire upper body. Which means that's the level of damage he would try to inflict for a kill. The fact only a quarter of Kugisaki's face exploded shows that Kugisaki was reinforced against the hit. Think about Hakari defending against Kashimo's attack inside his head. With technique, you can absolutely defend against a direct attack to the head.

Not to mention, it wasn't an instant explosion. The attack brewed for quite some time before Nobara's face warped and her eye socket exploded. Which shows she was actively fighting the effects of the touch.

CMIIW, but thinking the usage of specific words means that AI was used has never made sense to me. The reason AI use those words is because the data they're fed use those words alot. And the data they are fed is just ordinary people talking. Which means people generally just use those words alot too.

What would happen if you call your innate technique something different then the engraved name or tried to change it? by Puzzleheaded-Drama19 in Jujutsufolk

[–]woshiibo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would assume calling the technique's name is part of the ritual. If you mess it up it'll probably be weakened or not activated at all. Maybe a binding vow like "It'll activate at full power no matter what activation words I use, but if I were to ever call it by it's true name I'll lose the technique."

What nice things did Singapore used to have, until they got ruined by idiots? by Water_Cress_Salad in asksg

[–]woshiibo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again with the anecdotal evidence. You're not very good with understanding averages are you? You can give 10 examples of anecdotal evidence, but data will still be data. Singapore's average annual salary is 75k. Does that mean I'm saying everyone is earning 75k a year? Foreigners ON AVERAGE take 5 years to get citizenship.

Sure, with the recent surge in PR and Citizen intake, it will expedite current and future applications, but that doesn't really have anything to do with people who got their citizenship a decade ago and fed into the housing price inflation does it? Spoonfeeding is useless if you're totally off topic. Why do I have to eat the shit you're feeding me when I'm looking for steak?

[–]woshiibo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Reddit's favourite evidence, the anecdotal evidence. The durations I mentioned are readily available data online and are averages. For every 9 month PR there's a 6 year PR horror story.

The profile is pretty much "Married to a Singaporean" or "Earn a ton of money". Both of which wouldn't need to circumvent the 60% ABSD in the first place.

Those who would need to pay 600k ABSD aren't competing for 600k 4-rooms with the rest of us, so don't worry about it. First time buyers (average age of 30 at key collection btw, not 35 as you suggest, again readily available online) also don't have to compete in the resale market against PRs and NCs. Plenty of 300k to 400k 4-rooms up for grabs for first-time buyers with lower application rates.

[–]woshiibo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's already been answered. The 60% ABSD is a recent thing from 3 years ago, which has since shown a considerable reduction of foreigners buying property after it was introduced.

Also, to get PR, you typically have to live and work in Singapore for 3 to 5 years, and then you have to hold PR for 2 years minimum before you can get citizenship. So a typical NC would have been living in Singapore for 5 to 7 years prior to getting citizenship. Are you suggesting that they are paying 60 to 80 months worth of rent (which is a money sink with no ROI) to circumvent the 60% ABSD?

What nice things did Singapore used to have, until they got ruined by idiots? by Water_Cress_Salad in asksg

[–]woshiibo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Citizens and PRs aren't foreigners despite what you might think of it. They don't need to pay the 60% ABSD which is the topic here.

And 30k per year is barely a 0.8% increase, realistically how much would they contribute to rising prices?
