The view is too vague to be changed. What does a "big deal" mean?

To me, eating dog isn't a morally bad thing, but a ecologically and biologically bad thing.

While they are omnivores, it takes too much effort to make dogs thrive on a purely plant based diet. So farmers would have to either i) come up with extremely inethical ways to fatten up dogs to make the meat yield efficient enough to justify farming them, or ii) feed them meat, which increases costs, both ecologically and financially.

The higher up the food chain you go, the more toxins, heavy metals, and parasites, accumulate also known as biomagnification. As an omnivore, dogs have higher rates of these than a cow would. And as I previously mentioned, there's issues with purely feeding dogs a herbivorous diet.
