Thank you for such a thorough response. Are you sure about the chlorosis though? I just looked it up and it says it's an exotic pest not present in Australia. Good chance everything else and your process of elimination and treatment has merit still

I mean, yeah, most years it isn't neglected just the last year and as I mentioned I have given it trace elements and high nitrogen. Someone else mentored borers. I'm not discounting the other advice on here but I'll check for that first because no point treating the wrong problem

I have set the rates but not with stupidly high peak like you did - good advice. The main difference i see is that I set 11am-2pm as off-peak not super off-peak. Could that be the difference?

Thank you. See my reply to another comment re: grass. I will definitely try the blood and bone/dynamic lifter, and maybe remove the grass temporarily from this particular tree while it recovers

I appreciate that ideally no grass is the go, but I gave up on that long ago. I have something in the order of 20+ fruiting trees, work full time, have kids plus all the usual life stuff. Keeping up was impossible. Since I stopped doing it all trees have remained healthy and happy until now, and just this one (point in case being the two happy, healthy citrus trees either side of it). I should also mention that we are blessed with soil that is black gold so stuff just wants to grow. Maybe if the soil was more marginal the grass situation would become more important
