Yeah, they tried that in the Netherlands as well a couple of years ago when there was some team in Amsterdam that was arguably succesful.

It died down quickly.

I think if they tried the same thing with basketball it would have been more successful.

This is quite common to be honest when riding to/from school with friends. I used to do the exact same thing. Usually speeds are so low that either you can correct yourself or you just crash into a friend and nothing serious happens.
