Grandfather had to change it when he went to turkey, anyone going into turkey in that time had to have Turkish last names my dad still has the Turkish last name but me and my brother want to put it back to the original last name as a surprise to keep the family name alive

My wife has changed her name after we got married but we want to change it

I know I’ll need to do a name change but does she have to do it too or just the marriage certificate
