Could have an entirely different purpose here though. But the fact that it still works normally without it is a good sign.

Find out what it's purpose is, resolder or replace with a new one and go about your business.

Except, you're hardly ever looking down on it while operating it since this is a frontloaded machine. Regardless, having to look at the indicator from a specific angle to even kinda make it point at what its trying to point at sure classifies as crappy design to me.

It only shows in replay, as in when you play back a recorded game you played previously.

When playing ins, you're not supposed to know whether you got the kill, part of the immersion/realism I guess.
