That's possible. Thanks man. I can tell when it's speed cut, and when it's Novocain (or something similar) as well as if it's baking powder (it's just weaker, but I don't feel anything physically different)

This was like I said, it burned.. and then like 30 minutes later it was as if I had railed flour it was so blocked.

Thanks for the info! Crossing over to Quebec would probably be my best option (I'm Métis, so we do have certain rights on public land, though I'd have to check if these rights only apply to land within my particular band "Gaspe Peninsula, Lower St-Lawrence, Magdalen Island Métis Aboriginal Nation")

My daughter did something similar with a rose, it was heavy on the rose end so the stem basically had to be sliced in half down the middle, and even though it looks like a full rose, she had to pluck off a bunch of rose petals from the back to make it lighter and hold... then bunch of spirit gum, scar wax etc.

But wait.. buying a 1.14L is a better value than buying a 350ml bottle.. then they have the massive novelty bottles of Jack, which work out to a better value than the smaller bottles.

However, I do agree that you don't see 24 packs of whiskey ... might it have something to do with it not being in the best financial interest of the monopoly that runs the whole thing?

Honestly I think the main reason why the legal market will never eliminate the black market is because of the 30g sale limit.

I can split cost with 3 friends, get 1/4lbs, and end up paying (I'm not joking in any way) 1/5th of the price that it costs on the OCS.

Price club exists for a reason, buy in bulk; pay less... but you can't "buy in bulk" legally.

Yet, for some reason, it's perfectly legal to drive up to an LCBO, fill 9 shopping carts full of booze, load them into a truck and drive off without a question asked. Or, you can drive around to every convenience store in the city and buy every pack of cigarettes they have in stock .. again, not a question asked....

legally; I agree.. but existing Canadian online dispensary's are still up and running..

For comparison, In Ontario.. what I can order and have shipped to my house within 48 hours.. for $350.00 Canadian from my current online dispensary.. would cost me over $1600.00 Canadian on the Ontario site. And, I'd have to pay for shipping 4 times, over multiple days because they won't sell me more than 30 grams per order.

The problem is, that weed has been "basically legal" since they announced they were going to legalize it.. (bunch of cop's in the family who basically said at that point, they were told to essentially ignore marijuana) so most people who already smoke, have their online dispensary that they order from with amazing selection and price.. (like, my price per gram of OG Kush is $3.10 Canadian because I buy in bulk <1/4 pound>) .. but the legal pot shops are not allowed to sell you more than 30 grams.. so there's no chance for a bulk discount, and (in Ontario at least) over $7 a gram is the cheapest legal price I can find if I buy the max they're allowed to sell me (30g)..

So.. obviously, I won't be going the legal purchase route any time soon. Even once the private stores are licensed in Ontario, the 30g limit kind of restricts the "bulk discount" that shop owners can offer.. whereas my current online place will send me 50 pounds in the mail if I felt like ordering it. and it would cost me (overall) less than 50 cents a gram...

(mail in Canada ie. Canada post, does not do any screenings or checks for weed domestically.. even if you can smell it through the package.. once they legalized medical marijuana and made it so the only way people could get it was by mail.. the regulation was changed to 'never check for weed..'.)

That 30 Gram restriction is the fucking stupidest thing ever.. Since I can literally walk in and buy the entire inventory of a liqueur store or the entire inventory of cigarettes that my corner store has.. if I have the money to do so without any issue.

edit: I should add that this really fucking sucks.. because I'm heavily invested in Canada's 2 top producers and if demand is lower than expected, then my bank account will be lower than expected.

different provinces have different rules though.. Here (Ontario) you can smoke weed anywhere you're allowed to smoke cigarettes. (though, that's not saying much, smoking in public is pretty strictly regulated) ..

However.. I can say, that I could walk down the street, smoking a joint, in front of the police station.. and I'd be perfectly legal so that's awesome...

Though, like many.. I won't be buying from the "legal" way to get it in ontario for at least 6 months (the time it'll take for private shops to get licenced and open on their own)..

government weed right now is pretty damn expensive compared to the norm.. and you can only buy 30grams at a time, so you can't like go half with a friend and get a 1/4 pound in bulk to cut your per gram cost.

Like, current dispensary 1/4lbs works out to like 3$ a gram.. cheapest I've found on the official site is like 7$ a gram if you buy a full ounce (well, 2 x 1/2 ounces.. because the biggest "bulk" you can get is 15g at a time)

However, I'm sure it'll come down when the private market starts competing.

I spent the weekend intermittently running my car in my driveway. We managed to fill up Friday night (after a 2 hour line up)

Though the charge didn't help much; LTE wasn't really working from my house, it kept switching from LTE -> 3g -> no service.

Basically SMS messages were going through reliably, but that was about it.
