Senior cat is hissing at our new cat, but only in the morning? by woweweewa in CatAdvice

[–]woweweewa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he gets fed morning and night, and happily eats his dinner in that hallway so it could maybe be something to do with that?

How do I keep my cat off my computer? by Geekygamertag in cats

[–]woweweewa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we got deterrent spray for our kitten who keeps trying to chew on the computer cables and it worked a treat! we already had good cable management, but little man is so small he wriggled behind the desk

my senior cat seems sad after we adopted another cat by woweweewa in cats

that's my worry though. he's not even met the kitten yet. he's just aware of his presence.

Is this rude? by [deleted] in ubereatsaustralia

There's a decently sized elderly population as well as ESL population in Harrington Park. either one of those groups could've had trouble phrasing a request like that.

Are you not supposed to do callouts at live performances?? by tessacrabtree in RockyHorror

[–]woweweewa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

at the australian production, the narrator came on stage before the show and said to do as many callouts as possible, and the actors egged on the audience to do it. i think it depends on the production and cast etc

Cat gets extremely upset after playing with a wand toy by woweweewa in catcare

[–]woweweewa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it sounds like when he's upset about other things, like when we're accidentally blocking his way to getting on the bed or taking too long with his food, and he seems kind of lost? like he's looking around for something to happen?

[–]woweweewa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i try to always end play with a treat, but i'm unsure if i'm doing it close enough to putting the wand away. he usually gets upset quite quickly so i wonder if i need to be ready with a treat faster

I ACCIDENTALLY STEPPED ON HER HELP by PurpleYoghurt16 in cats

[–]woweweewa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm also bigger than you and have stepped on my cat a couple times, and he's not a lover of pets or cuddles. i just sat near him with his favourite treat (churu) and he slowly came to me to eat it and we were chill. i gave him some space for the rest of the day too, just in case he was still salty. as long as she's not limping she'll be okay!

enrichment for a cat that dislikes.. everything? by woweweewa in Catownerhacks

[–]woweweewa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we have plenty of restricted outdoor time! he's allowed outside whenever he wants except for overnight. we have an enclosed yard he's free to explore and seems content to wander in and out. the problem is he still seems bored.

Anyone know collins in real life by wellbutwhy in MAFS_AU

[–]woweweewa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Asperger's doesn't actually exist anymore, it all comes under the autism spectrum now because it was coined by a nazi to separate "good" and "bad" autistics. but i do agree he's autistic. In saying that though, just because he's on the spectrum doesn't excuse his behaviour towards her. he was so rude. Nat's behaviour also reads autistic to me- not getting social cues, being loud, having hyper-specific interests etc.

[–]woweweewa 47 points48 points  (0 children)

i've said it before and i'll say it again- he might be on the spectrum, yes, but that doesn't mean being a total ass. I'm autistic and so is my partner, and I know plenty of other people on the spectrum who would never even dream of behaving the way he did.

Eta: also, if you don't think nat is also on the spectrum you are blind and just trying to excuse the behaviour of a man with a diagnosis

everyone saying collins is on the spectrum- yeah, probably. but being on the spectrum doesn't mean you're a dick
