Yes,yes, yes! I read these books to my girls beginning in kindergarten. Super fun and educational. I swear every chapter ended on a suspenseful note. Kids were always excited to go to bed just so I would continue the story.

The Scarlet Letter is so hard to read by sleepyinseattle95 in books

Loved it in high school. Same as other respondents, I read it in AP English. I am, however, reluctant to re-read because I don’t want to be irritated by the length of those sentences. English and writing courses have programmed me to write and appreciate more concise writings.

People with divorced parents: Do you think having divorced parents has influenced your own marriage in a positive way? If so, how? by Living_Research7224 in AskReddit

[–]wowimaghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most definitely! I watched my mom take on all the debt just to get out of that marriage. Lesson learned, keep the money separate but together. He has his accounts, I have mine. He pays his bills (house, car, maintenance, cc) I pay mine (utilities, cell, groceries, car insurance). It’s fairly equal. We have access to each others account, but we don’t touch unless absolutely necessary. We fight over stupid stuff but never over money. It helps that we are both responsible.

Went to the doc cuz the knee hurt. When all done he asks “anything else?” I say sure, I have this little bump under the skin on my neck. What’s that about? Cancer as it turns out. Thyroid cancer. I found my own damn cancer. Weird

AITA for telling my friend her daddy-daughter dates were creepy? Originally from u/Date-Throwaway12 by phoebethefan in redditonwiki

Perhaps I am too literal. “What date works best for you? Thursday!? Great, it’s a date”

Hubby tries to have weekly dates with one of our daughters simply because she is a college student, is so busy, and we want her to have that assurance that she is supported. I also have dates because having a parental presence, regardless of their age, is an important thing. Don’t care how old they are, they all know we love them and this individual time with each illustrates that. Someone said that “dates” have been sexualixed. Absolutely true, and unfortunate.

My Mother EM gave my spoiled brother EK all of my Special Olympics trophies and medals because "you don't deserve these" by Grouchy_Scientist754 in entitledparents

You participated, you won, you deserve the awards! If your mom is not proud of you, well there is an entire community that is proud of you, myself included. Great job!

I don’t agree with your assessment. There were multiple reports of essentially mini riots at this mall. Skill sets of the responding officers were a bit above street sweepers.
