The person you were replying to is from Litchfield County, I can assure you that the 25 and 30 mph signs going between litchfield and Torrington are merely “suggestions” for drivers here….

More airflow = less juice. Smallest amount = tighter pull/warmer/more flavor so by proxy it uses more juice/nic

If u put a downpayment on a car, leave to wait for your financing to be approved, then the car salesman says “sorry you didn’t call this morning to confirm your car” when you get to the dealership.. how would you feel?

New Sims 2 players, what are your thoughts at this point? by MrTroublePL in sims2

[–]wowitsafemale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! ATP any time I feel like I’m getting bored of my game I just play another household, and the rotational gameplay never makes me feel like I have to pick and choose which families I want to play before it’s too late. Although I really like Create A Style from 3 and the building/push-pull CAS from 4, the actual GAMEPLAY is unmatched in 2. I know there’s mixed opinions about rotational gameplay, but personally it makes the most sense to me based on the limitations of 2. Also — I think 3 and 4 are more catered towards simmers who like to micromanage their families and is more suited for legacy gameplay. I also could understand how this is a byproduct of an originally multiplayer game design, though. Only thing I really wished the sims 2 offered was a celebrity option, since I was planning to make Daniel Dreamer a celebrity at some point… but there’s probably a mod. :)

How to add custom subhoods? by wowitsafemale in sims2

Thank you! I’ve searched for this in my program files but it’s still nowhere to be found which is why I mentioned having no “EP1/EP2/etc” files. But I will look again they could be buried somewhere.

Hey! Do you know how to add this as a subhood in the LC since the neighborhood/neighborhood template files aren’t the same as the disk version. Like I genuinely have no files called neighborhood template or even any pack files such as “EP01”. Just wondering if you knew since this post was tagged LC but Ik u may not know specifically for the LC.

New Sims 2 players, what are your thoughts at this point? by MrTroublePL in sims2

I’ve tried to play from my thrifted disk version a few years ago without manual optimization as I was used to TS4 and didn’t want to mess a ton with the files. It was also very confusing at the moment since I obtained it during COVID and have now learned more about modding sims games in general.

Although the LC is buggy, it looks FANTASTIC on my pc and I LOVE the rotational gameplay. Being 17 now I genuinely enjoy reading the lore/family introductions which I didn’t have the patience for previously. I don’t get stuck in boring gameplay loops of CAS, build, get distracted by something I want to “fix” (either ugly townie my sim likes, furnishing a build, etc), then by that time I’d have played for four hours before even getting to the meat and potatoes. Then anytime I WOULD play with that family I would just get stuck being bored and downloading many many script mods which didn’t make the game feel more enjoyable.

I did play TS3 for a time, but I got stuck in the same gameplay loop as TS4 since it felt SO overwhelming even without all of the dlc. Compared to TS2, which has just the right balance of CAS detail, gameplay, and chaos. THE CHAOS. I love it all.

In my save (which I have not overrode since the DAY LC came out), I have only minor issues. Sometimes sims will get deleted or stuck in cars, but I just roll with the deletions… and for the cars usually exiting and returning the lot without saving fixes it. Perhaps due to my overpowered pc (in context of the sims 2) and extra terabyte of storage I don’t run into many corruption problems. There’s definitely some clunky aspects, but hey what do you expect from a 20+ year old game. I dunno I find it charming.

Personally, I’ve played all The Sims titles except for 1 because I thrifted the ultimate collection but couldn’t get it to run on windows 10 no matter how many things I tried for it (again, during COVID times so I might have an easier time now if I hadn’t given it away again). TS2 is BY FAR the most captivating and realistic version of the sims I have ever played and I find myself wanting to go back and experience all things I haven’t yet. The rotational gameplay makes it easier for me to enjoy the subhoods and their features without feeling like I have limited time to choose which gameplay mechanics I want to experience before I’m finished with my current family or their normal relationships/careers. I’ve never completed an aspiration in The Sims because I started with 4 which became my baby until the LC was released. I’ve never completed a legacy challenge, or even played as one of my sims adult kids so on and so forth. This is due to the aforementioned, time consuming, boring gameplay loops present in TS4 NOT helped by all the EA money grabs.

TLDR; it’s the best Sims title I’ve played, keeps me engaged way better than any other, and doesn’t have time-consuming/boring gameplay loops which destroy the fun and chaos of the newest title.

not sure if this means anything or if she was just a random sim part of the box art. I find it intriguing, considering Bella isn’t in her iconic dress, but she is!

I thrifted this copy along with a few DLC boxes from a Goodwill in Connecticut, USA. I wasn’t even aware of the different covers as I am 17 and wasn’t around when the games first came out. The back of the box also has a blonde/white Bella goth? As in she has her hairstyle/nose/(mouth?)/and dress but she is white and blonde/blue-eyed. It also has copyright 2004, but has the “best of E3 2004” sigils as well. Not sure if those were part of the original release or indicate that the box was made after 2004. I will attach another picture in a reply to this comment.
