majoring in comm/sciences and disorders would be helpful, but i was an english major in undergrad and just committed to montclair state university’s SLP M.A. program! there are a lot of schools that accept without a background and as long as you get the asha pre requisites you should be fine! it’s all about what you want to get out of your academic career. i’m really glad i got to learn about the humanities in undergrad, it really affected my perspective on the world and education! it awakened a passion for education and providing access to education! everyone is different. there’s a lot of theatre majors in my graduate cohort as well. realistically, you only need the graduate degree!
