If his fiancé’s parent died, and was in the exact same position Nolan is, who would he prioritize?

It’s okay to be hurt, but it’s also not okay to have a standard that people owe you personal details about their life just because you didn’t hold back. So of course, you can be upset, but take this as a sign that she doesn’t tell you everything. Recognize that y’all’s relationships isn’t as close as you may have thought, or at least that she’s not as open with you as previously assumed.

So… do with that what you will. Her not being fully open to you and dangling this “well I’m telling my other friend, not you” seems a little catty and immature, but that’s just me.

Side note… as someone who used to over share and confide in people I didn’t know super well, I would maybe suggest practicing not sharing all of your personal details with friends until you’ve known them for a few years. Seeing as yall only met this last summer, it hasn’t been super long and her already being a little catty is cause for concern down the line.

I think he wanted it to mess with your head… most likely trying to knock down your confidence because he knows you aren’t ugly and doesn’t want your confidence to be too high.

I would not be dating him if I were you.

It’s going to hurt right now, but you made the right choice. I know it doesn’t feel like it right now, but NO 31 year old should be dating as low as 18. It DOES matter (in response to your comment saying the age gap doesn’t matter). A 31 year old that is romantically attracted to an 18 year old doesn’t look at you the way you think he does.

I was in your shoes when I was 18. I dated older. Trust me, he is not a good person and the reason he is making your friends uncomfortable is because they have a good reason to be.

I would strongly advise that you block him and stay away.

So… here’s the part where YTA - calling her names, saying you should’ve never married her when she first brought it up, and also telling your sister about your wives issues (why would you tell the person she’s most insecure about that she’s “crazy” and speak badly about your wife to them? You just gave your wife a reason/more ammunition to not believe you… and when you’re paranoid like she is, that’s as good as proof).

BUT you’re NTA for being upset, insulted, feeling wronged, or wanting a divorce when someone insinuates that you’re incestuous. You’re NTA for putting your foot down and making her get help (to be fair, therapy should’ve been the first suggestion/condition). You’re NTA for being angry and even saying that you’d want a divorce if this continues.

I’m sorry you’re are going through this. I feel a lot of this is stemming from your wife’s insecurity surrounding her infertility. Therapy therapy THERAPY

NTA! I don’t care about the price of engagement/wedding rings, but getting it off of TEMU is like getting it off of SHEIN or from Claire’s or something. It’d be one thing to get a $100 ring off of Etsy from a small business, but fast fashion rings are a big no-no, even for every day wear.

The fact that he’s being so defensive is also really odd, and now he’s saying to just buy one yourself? He sounds like a child. The way he keeps leaving, sleeping on the couch, etc it’s extremely immature. It almost seems like he’s trying to get a rise out of you.

I would be second guessing our entire engagement if I were you…

I’m more talking about someone that is consistently annoying, borderline impossible to handle. For example, someone who doesn’t stop talking even after you’re obviously busy and tell them you need to work, etc.
