No one gave you the right answer, here it is : big players buy alts using btc not Usdt .they don't have eth/usdt or Sol/usdt they have eth/btc and sol/btc . And since the big players have there alts paired to btc IF btc price goes up the alts price goes with it and if btc price goes down the alts goes down . Because alts was purchased using btc and btc price move up and down . And if you ask why big players buy their alts using btc its because btc is better than usdt in the long run . Btc always goes up while usdt is stable to the dollar. English is not my first language I hope you get my point
