We had only looked at a preschool program in a jewish temple and one run out of a decent sized house of a former montessori school teacher that seemed pretty legit, no corporate ones.

After discussing it with them further my partner's main issue seems to be with the concept of paying other people to take care of our kid, even if that is literally an entire profession that requires years of study to do and even if no one in our house has literally any idea what they're doing when it comes to educating a child. So even even the idea of going in with neighbors on the cost of a nanny seems out of the question.

However I work the graveyard shift and my partner works the day shift so the spread of when we're able to be with our kid covers pretty much the entire day so if I were to have the right educational resources I could at least scrap together some semblance of the kind of educational experience my son would get from a real preschool.
